1. PASSENGER AND BAGGAGE WEIGHTS

1.1. Standard & Alternate Passenger Weights.

EU-OPS 1 Subpart J (1.620.d.1) and the Turkish DGCA’s SHT J (17d.1) allow the use of two different
values for pax weights, i.e. “Standard” and “Alternative” pax weights.
When preparing the Load Sheet for FHY flights use the “Standard” pax weights and retain
these values if the ZFW is within limits.
If the ZFW is exceeded with the “Standard” pax weights then use the “Alternate” pax
weights as listed below. Definitely should the ZFW never be exceeded!

Figures below are i.a.w. EU-OPS 1 SUBPART J (1.620.d.1) and the Turkish DGCA’s SHT J (17d.1.).
Standard Pax Weights
Pax Category Holiday Charter Flights Non-Holiday Charter Flights
Adult Male 83 kg 88 kg
Adult Female 69 kg 70 kg
Child 35 kg 35 kg
Infant 10 kg 10 kg
Alternative Pax Weights
Pax Category Holiday Charter Flights Non-Holiday Charter Flights
All Adult 76 kg 84 kg
Child 35 kg 35 kg
Infant 10 kg 10 kg
Note : The trim section of the Weight & Balance Sheet contains two different scales for Holiday & Non-Holiday Charter Flights.

1.2. Cabin Baggage Weight

Yes No
Cabin baggage weight is included in the above mentioned passenger weights.  

1.3. Deviations from Standard & Alternate Passenger Weights.

If the actual average adult pax weight is known to be higher than 84 kg, the actual average
adult pax weight must be used to determine the ZFW. To calculate the ZFW CG, consider
the flight as a Non-Holiday Charter flight and use the Index Influence of 1 Pax from the
table provided in paragraph 8.2 on C Sheet 9.

If the average known adult pax weight is lower than 76 kg, the flight must be considered as
Holiday Charter flight, hence use 76 kg as the average adult pax weight. To calculate the
ZFW CG, consider the flight as a Holiday Charter flight and use the Index Influence of 1 Pax
from the table provided in paragraph 8.2 on C Sheet 9.

Note 1 : Add Fuel index correction (+/–) to the ZFW Index to obtain the TOW Index.

Note 2 : The index values in column 1 above is provided for computerized loadsheet
systems like the DCS system, which perform precise computations.
Since drawing of index values on the manual load and trimsheet lower than
whole numbers is not possible, the fuel index table on the manual load and

numbers (column 2).

1. CG LIMITS

1.1. Ideal Trim Line at ZFW for Fuel Saving purposes

The DESIRED TRIM LINE shown in the balance graph below is a loadplanning limit only.
In the interest of fuel economy the load in the compartments shall, whenever possible, be
distributed in such a way that the LIZFW is aft of this line. The respective breakpoints
(weight/index) of the desired trim line shall be entered in the table below.

Freebird Airlines aim is to obtain a TOW CG within the 24 – 28 % MAC.

2. UNIT LOAD DEVICES DETAILS

4. STANDARD PAX & LOAD DISTRIBUTION FOR LOAD PLANNING

Freebird Airlines uses table below for standard load planning. The goal of this empirical data
is to achieve an ideal stabilizer pitch trim setting, with the TO CG between 24 - 28 % MAC.
Table is established using standard and alternate pax weights with 15 kg of checked-in
baggage per pax for holiday charter flights and 25 kg for non-holiday charter flights.

Other combinations of loading or pax seating may be acceptable provided that the warning
below and the loading & off-loading instructions below are respected.

Warning : To avoid ground instability, DO NOT leave cargo compartments 1 or 2 empty

when there are more than 30 pax on board!

Notes : 1. LMC loading should be evenly distributed between the cargo compartments 1 and 2 on
one side and 3 and 4 on the other side when it exceeds 250 kg.
2. "Free -Seating" is NOT allowed without approval of the Pilot in Command.

5. LOADING & OFF-LOADING

With respect to aircraft’s ground stability, at all times forward cargo compartments 1 & 2
MUST be loaded first and off-loaded last!
