It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ava Whittington. I worked with Ava
during her junior year as her Spanish 2 teacher and her concurrent enrollment (CE) psychology teacher. Ava
is an extremely intelligent young woman and an outstanding student who shows an absolute passion for
learning every day. Her brilliance was particularly evident in CE psychology where Ava immersed herself in
the materials and dominated the challenging curriculum earning recognition as one of the most accomplished
of all my CE students.

In addition to her success in my classes, Ava has also immersed herself in our early college program at
Weber State University. This program allows students to attend the university along with regular college-
aged students during her high school years. I have watched many very capable students struggle and falter,
but Ava has thrived in this challenging environment and is on track to receive her associate degree by the
time she graduates from high school.

Outside of her classes, Ava participates in Model United Nations, Interact Club, and is a member of National
Honor Society. She is an avid soccer player, an accomplished dancer, and has developed her musical talent
on the piano. She has served in the youth organization of her church and has volunteered to help clean at
Antelope Island State Park on several occasions. Additionally, Ava has put forth considerable effort to earn
CTE skill certificates in business management and food and nutrition.

As an educator of over 15 years in an early college high school, I have taught a considerable number of
gifted students, but Ava is without question one of the very best. She is an ideal example of self-discipline,
service, and drive to make herself and the world better. It is difficult for me to express just how impressive
this young woman is and how confident I am that she will be an asset to any program to which she is
admitted. Please give this peerless young woman the attention she deserves when considering applicants for
admittance into your quality institution. Without reservation, I give my full recommendation to Ava
Whittington.
