SPECIAL POWER OF ATTORNEY

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

I, ________________, Filipino, of legal age, with residence address at

______________________, hereby name, appoint and constitute, and by these presents, have
named, appointed, and constitute, Katrina P. Borra, to be my true and lawful attorney-in-fact,
for and in my behalf, place, and stead, to do and perform the following acts, deeds and things,
to wit:

1. To file the necessary case (habeas corpus or otherwise) or matter with the sole purpose
of releasing my wife, Honey Mae Amaro, from any investigation in Chin;
2. To compromise or settle the same upon such terms and conditions as may be in the best
interest of our family, and to consider such other actions as may aid in the prompt
disposition of the said case;
3. To appear and represent me in any action or controversy relating to the case of my wife
at all stages;
4. To institute and file the necessary actions, proceedings, petitions or pleadings and to
obtain restraining order or any remedy before the appropriate courts, office and
tribunals in connection with the said case and all other cases necessary to enforce,
claim, and protect my family’s rights and interests;
5. To appear and represent me before any office, tribunal, court, or government agency or
instrumentality and to file, process, transact, execute, receive, request for, acquire, sign,
whether under oath or otherwise, any and all papers, pleadings, motions, verifications,
papers, records and other documents necessary to carry out the purpose of this
instruments and to do such other things and acts which are necessary under the
circumstances;
6. To appear for and represent me in all phases, of the proceedings, such as, but not
limited to, trial, pre-trial conference(s) and any other hearing, for the above-mentioned
case and all other cases in relation thereto, on such date or dates as maybe agreed upon
by the parties or when directed by the court, and, with full power and special authority,
as ample and broad as may be necessary under the law, do all such things and perform
all such acts and deeds, which I could legally do and perform if present, as may be
necessary or desirable to protect or promote my family’s interests, including any appeal
or any remedial measure, as well as, the power to consider, agree and enter into any of
the following:
a. compromise or an amicable settlement or of a submission to alternative modes
of dispute resolution;
b. the simplification of issues;
c. the limitation of the number of witnesses;
d. such other matters as may aid in the prompt disposition of the action.
7. To delegate above authority to any agent as my attorney-in-fact may deem just,
reasonable, and appropriate under the circumstances;
 8. To perform all and every act and thing whatsoever requisite and necessary to be done in
and about the premises, as fully to all intents and purposes, as I might or could do if
personally present, and hereby ratifying and confirming all that said attorneys-in-fact
shall lawfully do or cause to be done by virtue of its authority; and
9. To represent me, as well as to sign, verify, execute, deliver, and receive, for and on my
behalf, any and all documents requisite or necessary for the prosecution and/or
settlement of the above action, including but not limited to the verification/certification
against forum-shopping, engagement agreement, and if necessary, the appropriate
special power of attorney to its nominee.

HEREBY GIVING AND GRANTING unto my said attorney-in-fact full powers and authority to do
and perform all and every act whatsoever requisite, necessary to carry into effect the foregoing
authority as fully to all intents and purpose or proper to be done as we might or could lawfully
do if personally present, with power of substitution and revocation, and hereby ratifying and
confirming all that my said attorney-in-fact shall do or cause to be done under and by virtue of
these presents.
