Avanti's mission is to develop curriculum, teaching and mentorship practices that equip students for financially
secure careers and instil a culture of responsibility and lifelong learning. In the longer term we envision school
systems in India adopt this philosophy.
At Avanti, we implement a unique pedagogy called “Peer Instruction“ a pedagogical framework developed by
Prof. Eric Mazur at Harvard University that reduces teacher dependence and enables collaborative learning.
Students consume lecture content in the form of recorded videos and reading material before attending class. In
place of conventional lectures, classroom time is used to get students to work collaboratively on problem sets and
clarify doubts by interacting with our program associates. Till date, we have helped over 400+ students go to
college. Of these over 125 have secured admission to top tier colleges such as the Indian Institutes of Technology
(IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
We currently work with 3000+ students in 3 public school systems across India and helping students from IXth to
XIIth standard, focused on pursuing careers in science and engineering.
