• The number of EVs sold in Poland almost doubled in 2017 from the previous year. Hyundai Ioniq, BMW i3, and Nissan
Leaf are the best selling EV models. There has been constant growth in the number of registered EVs in Poland.
• The EV charging infrastructure network in Poland consists of 552 charging stations, which are distributed mostly in the
largest cities across the country.
• Currently, the main challenges for the adoption of electromobility in Poland are inadequate charging stations and the
insufficient government incentives for the purchase of EVs.

• The Indian government is preparing a new policy to boost EV adoption and reduce transport emissions. Currently, the plan is
to ensure that one third of all passenger cars on the road by 2030 are EVs, which translates into 29 million EVs.
• This creates an opportunity for Polish E-bus and EV parts manufacturers to establish production facilities or to supply EV parts.
Another opportunity in the Indian EV market is in developing charging station infrastructure. Currently, there are only 209 EV
charging stations across all of India. A Finnish energy company is cooperating with IndianOil to build 150 more stations in
