Course Pre- Basic Solid State Physics
requisites/ Co-
requisites/ anti-
requisites (if any).
Otherwise, please
indicate as ‘None’
Expected Upon learning this subject, the students will have been exposed to the
Outcome/Objecti fundamental principles behind the operation of various light sources as
ves well as detectors. They would have also learned about how light is
modulated and subsequently launched into an optical fiber. The
students would have come to know about the problems currently faced
with fiber optic communications system and their mitigations. They
would have also learned about the important phenomena that arise in
nonlinear optical regime.
