Globalization, an inevitable phenomenon? Is it true? But first, what is

Globalization? It is the process whereby systems expand from being regional or
national to encompass the entire planet (simplicable.com) so meaning it is an
international activity. It does not just focus on one country, but the countries around the
world. Why is it important to know about globalization? Simply because this is what’s
happening nowadays and many people doesn’t know about it.

Globalization is an inevitable phenomenon. Yes, because whether we like it or

not we need other countries to support us and they also need us. We cannot stand on
our own, because if it will be the case, we will be left behind. I can compare
globalization in situation of a master and a servant. A master need a servant in order to
do the things that has not able to do and because of that he has to give salary to the
servant in exchange of his labor. It is unavoidable specially nowadays that we are living
in a world that relies on high technology. We have to adopt to other counties, from its
way of education, practices, culture, and etc. because aside from the reason that it will
make us a better person it can also be a big help to our economic development. It is also
a way to communicate from other countries which we needed the most. We cannot
avoid it as long as we live, because our leader’s not just here in the Philippines but also
to other countries always aims for its nation’s best. It is always and will always be their
desire. And in order to do that they have to reach out to other countries. They have to
build relationship to others and talk to them in a diplomatic way to avoid any conflict.
There should be an interdependence of countries.

Though globalization is a big help to us but it cannot give us the guarantee that it
can always give us good effect. It has also its bad side. Globalization is also a great
opportunity for corrupt leaders, money hungry business man/woman and etc. So as
long as this kind of shall we say powerful people exist, do you think globalization can
be stop? I don’t think so. And now since we are not just dealing on our own country but
also with other’s so we have to expect more problems to come.

Therefore globalization is a big word. It can make or break a country. But

whatever its effect we cannot avoid it, we cannot stop it. We have to deal with it. We
have to open our eyes to the real world. Going with the flow is the right word, but we
also have to be wise. Who knows? Globalization could be our county’s solution to its
problems.
