Maskatiya the owners of “Fair & Lovely”, “Faiza Beauty Cream” and “Olivia”. in order,
for their false promises with the customers through their advertising campaign in which
they have claimed to make people fairer within few days or weeks. While Zubaida Appa
claims that these creams have been made up of artificial substances and chemicals that
are harmful for skins and have caused damage to skins of many people.

Hence, I would now like to call Ms. Zubaida Appa in witness box to give her stance.

creams. As you’ve heard earlier that these creams are responsible for the destruction of
lives of many innocent girls and boys. I as the voice of the nation and as a very
influential person in the society feel that there is immense need to ban these chemicals
known as face whitening cream.

the hearing.

Vareesha: Mr. Sanjeev Mehta what would you like to say in your defense?

Mr. Sanjeev: Your honor I am speaking on behalf of my company. I have been falsely
accused of selling harmful creams. However, on the contrary you all know that our
company is one of the most well-known skincare brands, we are not only operating
locally but also internationally. We have proper quality control check; our product is ISO
9000 & 9001’ Certified. I wonder how respected Zubaida Apa is claiming it to be
dangerous for customers.
Minahil: According to our research, your product fair and lovely contains methyl
paraben, propyl paraben, and acetate which cause cancer and various skin diseases
and We have collected all reports and evidence against it. So, what do you have to say
about this?

Sanjeev: I do not have any such information about chemicals being used in my product.
You can also check our official website for all the details about the ingredients used in
the making of fair n lovely creams.

you that our creams have guaranteed results. Aoa Nayab please share your experience
of using face whitening creams with us.

Nayab: Salam alaikum judge sb. Meri saas menu baray tanay dendi se tera rang

Minahil: your honor I would like to call the very famous owner of Faiza beauty cream
produced locally in Pakistan. As we know and have seen there are no proper checks on
such creams and influential people like the Poonia brothers easily get away with most of
the certifications and QC checks.

Vareesha: I object your honor, Ms. Minahil is making false accusations against my
clients with no appropriate evidence.

Judge: objection overruled

Minahil: Sir, how can you say that we don’t have any appropriate evidence, without
letting me complete my stance, here you can see (the documents) that their products
have been banned from several countries including Uk and the States. So, Poonia
Brothers didn’t this happen?

Poonia brothers: “Both start to fight”

Nayab: I am aware about our product being banned in UK however the reason behind it
being banned is that we produce creams that are compatible with skins of the Asians. I
admit the fact that we should have kept in mind the atmospheric conditions and skins of
people living in other areas. And Even if Zubaida Appa sells her soap internationally it
will get banned because it wont suit the skins of the foreigner because it is made
according to Asian conditions.

Zubaida Appa: Beta app mujhy itna underestimate na kerein isi liyay mainay appna
soap internationally launch nahi kriya. Your honor my soap as I told before has been
made up of herbal products only which do not have any side -effect. If it wouldn’t suit
the skin of the foreigner it won’t show any effect positive or negative, while when people
use their creams their skins get burned.
Minahil: Your honor please note down How the Poonia brother agreed to their mistake
and as my client said if they do not use any harmful material in their product it shouldn’t
be having any kind of side effect on the skin of the user. Also, I would I like to add that
the reason they are giving is baseless and pointless because according to a report in
“The Tribune” it clearly stated that Faiza beauty Cream has substances that causes skin
cancer.

Poonia Brother Misha: Your honor if we would have used cancerous ingredients in our
product then how can Ms. Minahil answer to the growing demand spectacular results
and positive feedback of our customers.

Vareesha: Thank you Poonia Brothers you may go back now. Your honor my client is
right these creams are highly in demand nowadays and there are no such witnesses or
cases against the side effects or damages caused by these creams.

Minahil: Your honor in order to prove this I would now like to call my First witness and
victim of these creams in the witness box.

Miss Misha please raise your right hand and repeat after me do you swear by Almighty

Misha: Yes, I do.

Vareesha: So, Miss Misha please tell the court how did these face whitening creams
changed your life?

Witness 1: Your honor, I have used various cosmetic products and face whitening
cream to get a fair complexion. None of them have worked except Zubaida Appa face
whitening Soap. But I would like to say that Creams like fair and lovely and Faiza
Beauty Cream destroyed the texture and tone of my skin. As you can see the number of
pimples on my face, this is still a much better picture of what I am today some time back
I was not even able to show my face to the world, I got socially Isolated and my
personal relationship turned out to be a disaster only because of these fake creams and
their appealing commercial. Your honor I would request you to ban these creams
because they create a fake demand and promote racism in the society. I also appeal a
suit for damage to all these companies.

Vareesha: I respect your views madam however it should be noted down that Miss
Misha has stated that she has also used various “Cosmetic Products” hence how can
she be sure that the damage caused to her skin was because of the cream and not the
low quality cosmetic products that she was using.

Zubaida Appa: Objection Your honor objection I object on this lawyer. Mujhy tou yay
lawyer bhi cancerous material say bana wa lag rha hai. Beta I can give you some herbal
remedies for your mental health come and….

Judge: Order Order Vareesha please call the third defendant of this case.

Vareesha: Mr. Abdul Wahid Maskatiya is the last defendant of this case and is the
owner of Olivia. So, Mr. Maskatiya what would you like to say in your defense.

Nayab: Your honor we have been in the cosmetics industry since 1982 and have been
expanding in various fields since then. Our fully equipped and qualified R&D and quality
control departments ensure that the ingredients used in the preparation of Olivia
products are packed, sealed and imported from foreign chemical manufacturers like
Croda and Hankel.

Minahil: Please note this down your honor Mr. Maskatiya has agreed to the use of
chemicals in his products.

Vareesha: I object your honor Ms. Minahil is trying to twist Mr. Maskatiya’s argument
and misguide the court.

Judge: Objection overruled.

Minahil: Thank you your honor. Here is the evidence of Olivia whitening cream getting
banned 2 years back as it contained high levels of Mercury which are highly dangerous
for the users. And an affidavit of a girl who burnt her skin because of the use of this
cream. Despite being banned Mr. Maskatiya being a leading industrialist used his power
to get over with the ban and started selling his product again. Didn’t you Mr. Maskatiya?

Nayab: No, your honor I have not been involved in any such incident as I said before
we have been maintaining are product quality since a long period of time which justifies
our market value today and our loyal customers.

Judge: can I have the closing statement from both the lawyers now.

Vareesha: Your honor I believe that the demand of the products of all three defendants
of the case proves the fact that Ms. Zubaida Appa has made false claims against my
clients and Miss. Minahil was unable to provide appropriate evidence. And my clients
are not responsible for paying any suit for damages to Miss. Ramayshah

Minahil: Your honor I have submitted all the evidences and the contradictions made by
all the three defendants have been noted down I expect the court to give the final
verdict in favor of the nation and prevent lives of people from these dangerous creams.

Zubaida Appa: Aur bhool na mat judge Saab app ki biwi meray hi totkay istamal kerti
hain.

Judge: Due to respect for the Queen of natural Remedies and because I myself use her
whitening soap I decree the defendants to stop the production of their creams until
proper testing is carried out and to pay suit for damages of amount 2 million rupees to
Miss Ramayshah. This case is in favor of the plaintiff Ms. Zubaida Appa!
