Associated Learning Standard(s): The resource may be generally applicable, if so, simply state that. List any ISTE-S standards that
seem to naturally align with the selected resource.
-Innovative designer- This website allows students to express their creativity through the
creation of an eye-catching presentation.
-Global collaborator- The student can use a Prezi with other group members to present
their findings on a particular topic. Prezi allows students to present in a unique more
interactive way then a simple power point.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

The website Prezi is an interactive tool which allows you to present information in a
unique. It is very similar to a power point presentation however is more eye catching
through shapes and fun transitions.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students’ presentation/speaking/communication skills?

I would use this tool by assigning my students to create a group Prezi with
whoever is at their tables. The students would have to collaborate and make a
presentation through Prezi on an assigned topic. They’d have to work as a team
to determine what information is in the Prezi as well as how they want to
design it. After completion, I’d have each group practice their presentation
skills by presenting to the classroom.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I’d say this tool would most likely be used by a student or a teacher as a unique way of presenting a topic.
It’s not necessarily interactive like a game but the students would be more engaged looking at a Prezi
then a typical power point because it is more appealing to the eye. I don’t agree with it being placed as a
1 because the students are equally as likely to use Prezi’s as a teacher, however I wouldn’t say it’s a three
because I do believe a lesson can be equally as efficient without a Prezi through the use of other eye-
catching applications, or hands on activities.
