Literary Terms Project

Literary terms are used in writing to produce a specific effect. Most literary terms or devices help the
audience to focus on particular words or phrases, in order for the writer to get his or her point across
to the readers. They can be found in all types of texts, not just stories or poems. It is important that
you learn to recognize literary terms, as well as apply/use them in your future writing.

Assignment: You will design a way to display literary terms that will be informative, as well as
CREATIVE. Your project includes:
 Literary Term
 Meaning of the term
 Example in proper MLA format for quotations
 MLA citation - "One patch touched a tree, and scrambled up like a small squirrel"
(Golding 35).
 Include a drawing, photograph, clipart, or your own very best drawing - illustrating your literary
element.
