1. ABSTRACT

This project is aimed at developing a Repository and each Engine for alumni of the
university, which is of importance to a university. The information system for
communication with alumni embodies one of many ways how university can keep
tracking with its graduates. The Alumni Information System is a web based
application that can be accessed throughout the World. Except for communication
between university and its graduates, the information system should allow
communication between graduates themselves and their personal presentation in
public. The system also should collect actual information about working
experience of graduates, which can improve faculty credits and teaching process.
The presented information system includes all these points and focuses on usability
and comfortable user interface.
The aim of this project is to build an Alumni of University of Baltistan Skardu
online dashboard, it is intended to manage especially the Alumni of UOBS with
their respective fields.
The project mange the fresh as well as old graduate students with their respective
information in actively participating in making registering, searching, managing
the alumni information for sharing their expertise, network, jobs opportunities and
resources. This participation has evolved into multiple dimensions and is now
eager to formally enter into the domain of mentorship to students through a regular
program. Alumni registration management system (UOBS Alumni) is a step
towards this, creating multidimensional interactions between current and past
students of UOBS.
2. INTRODUCTION

The greatest asset any Institution can have is the Alumni system. Alumni are the
people who represent the Institution in the real world.
Alumni website is created for the students that have graduated from the Institution.
This is a web based application that allows former students to take advantage of
the benefits and services that an Institution offers after graduation. The alumni
network is becoming important in the development of the institution because of
their huge potential that benefits both the Institution and the students. There are
many benefits for being an alumni member of a college or Institution, some of
these benefits are:
Keeping a person inform on the events that are organized by the Institution, and
when some important events will be holding in the Institution.
Another benefit is that information concerning a former student can easily be
received and other members of the alumni community can be located without
much stress. The student and alumni can communicate each other.
University of Baltistan is a newly established digitalize university because of the
university have their own CMS and more important thing that the CMS developed
their own graduated students.

The alumni module is one of them future modules of UOBS CMS so I propose the
UOBS Alumni module to develop to complete of another one CMS module and
make CMS more functional and digitalize to UOBS.
3. PROBLEM STATEMENT
The Department of Graduates Follow-up is responsible for monitoring the affairs
of graduates.
It is proposed to be administratively linked to the Deanship of Student Affairs,
where the administration mentors the transfer of students from the academic
education environment to the operational environment. The Department also
monitors the graduates and learns the news of the university's keenness to maintain
a permanent and strong contact with the graduates.
Graduation is the end of the relationship with the university, and try to find jobs for
university graduates.
One of the most important objectives of the establishment of the administration is
to link the bridges of practical life with the academy and to support continuous
communication between the university and its graduate, benefiting the university
and its graduates, as well as conducting research studies on academic
developments in order to meet the requirements of the labor market.
There are now so many unemployed, so the technology will be integrated into a
database on a website so that information can be accessed in a flexible and easy
way.
4. PROJECT SCOPE
The alumni management system will aid UOBS staff in maintaining contact
information for alumni of their institution. This system will be able to search
through the historical records of previous students and maintain a set of contact
information for the alumni. This system will provide methods for alumni to sign up
for newsletters and send updated contact information to the institution. This system
will be the basis for an increased effort to remain connected to alumni and to seek
their support for the current ministry on their Alma Mater.
We expect after the adoption of the project and its application to the university in
the graduates department will be of great benefit in:

4.1. Demonstrate the level of learning outcomes of the university.

4.2. Assist in hiring a large number of graduates.
4.3. Use the technical sections dedicated to the project such as the
department of graduate management at the university.
And it is expected that the level of the university will rise on the rest of the
universities thanks to this project, which will show the actual output of students at
the university.
5. LITERATURE REVIEW
The Existing system is not fully computerize system if any alumni wants to register
on website first of all alumnus/alumna download the alumni registration form to
the given link of university after fill the form alumnus/alumna send the form to
university via email. After received email the university alumni management staff
verify the alumnus/alumna and create account on university website it’s a time
delay process.
5.1. Limitations in Existing System

5.1.1. The current system is not completely complete computerized.

5.1.2. The alumni cannot create their account itself.
5.1.3. Time consuming to download registration form fill it and send via
email to university.
5.1.4. The verification process of alumni is manual.
5.1.5. The student cannot easily navigate through the database

6. PROJECT OVERVIEW/GOAL
The use of proposed system will avoid the problems of the existing system and
we also get a new system for managing information under the Alumni management
System.
6.1. Proposed system offers:
6.1.1 Manual work which is time consuming can be reduced.
6.1.2. Easy to store data in the database.
6.1.3. Administrator can add/remove new alumni.
6.1.4. Increase processing speed.
6.1.5. An easily access environment for users.
6.1.6. User can create their account and update.
6.1.7. User can easily communicate each other online live cheat.
6.1.8. Easy to use real time search facility.
6.1.9. Responsive layout that fits all devices.
6.1.10. Improved security.
7. PROJECT DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY
As this application is a complete web based application and in every web
application there two technics are there Frontend & Backend. Frontend means the
design of the website or the designing interface of the web application.
Programing languages coming under Frontend: - HTML, CSS & Java Script.
Backend means server side programming it communicates the client interface with
the database and the logic control.
Programing languages coming under Backend: Php, JavaScript, Ajax and Asp.net
etc. develop this system under php framework MVC and follow the SDLC
WATER FALL MODEL.

9. CONCLUSION
So the Alumni Information Database is mainly used to share the
views between the users of the application which is very useful
to upgrade the knowledge of everyone. The application is also
serve as a useful site to know what is going on in our college
and can also know about the various opportunities of the outer
world.
