1. background

There are so many measuring instruments that have been created by

both the traditional and the modern technology products. One
example is a mass measuring instrument such as a balance sheet.
The balance sheet in question is Analytical Balance. There is a slight
difference between the balance sheet and the number that is often
found in traditional markets. This is because Analytical Balance sheet
has a higher accuracy than the balance sheet in traditional markeys.
 ANALYTICAL BALANCE

Understanding of Analytical Balance?

Laboratory scales or often called balance sheets are scales that are used to weigh
laboratory test materials with high accuracy. It’s use must be careful to get the right
measurement results. And can be used in the industrial field. Especially
pharmaceuticals which are prescription, so the accuracy is guaranteed.
 Prosedur using laboratory scales.

1. Prepare laboratory scales in a balanced or waterpass condition ( by adjusting the

screw at the foot of the balance sheet so that the water bubble in the waterpass
is right in the center.
2. Before use, clean the scales first using a brush. Balance sheets on the scales
can be lifted and all scales can be cleaned using alcohol/ethanol.
3. Olug the weighing power cable into statvolt.
4. Press the ON button then wait until the 0,0000gram number appears.
5. Insert the base material (watch glasses, paper or thin objects) by opening the
glass not too wide so as not to effect the calculation because the laboratory
scales are quite sensitive.
6. Close the glass of the laboratory scale.
7. Press the zero button so the calculation is more accurate
8. Enter the material to be weighed not too wide open the glass, also when you add
or reduce the material to adjust the desired mass.
9. After placing the material you want to weigh, close the scales glass.
10. The the display automatically changes the number, massa of material/
11. Record the size of the meets of the weighed material. If you have taken the
material that is late weighed.
12. Then turn off the laboratory scales by pressing the off button
13. After the scale is completely dead, remove the socket from the statvolt
14. Clean the space on the scales using a brush. The scales can be lifted ad cleaned
like no.2
 Preliminary examination of the balance sheet

a. Balance sheet cleaning ckecks, especially plate must be cleaned using

brooms available in the balance sheet.

b. Checking the balance of the balance is done by looking at the waterpass, by

adjusting the screw at the foot of the scale

c. Balance sheet balance checks performed by maintaining the stability of the

balance.

Serves to measure the mass of a type of object with accyracy up to =0,0000gram

 Calibration

a. Calibration control
Scales/ balance sheets are controlled using weighed children that are
already installed or with two external weighing children, for example
10grams/100grams. Digital balance scales must wait 30minutes to
regulate temperature limit. The scales must avoid movement (wind) before
weighing zeros must be chacked and if necessary corrected. Heavy
stronge is recorded on the control sheet/ card. The sheets contains the
number of times the scale

b. Balance sheet handling

Everyone who uses the scales must take care of him, so that the scales
remain clean and well maintained. And the scales must be lovked if left
out of the room.

c. Balance sheet
The cleanliness of the scales must be checked every day after each use.
The weighing part must be cleaned using a brush, a soft cloth and tissue.
Cleaning the scal as a whole, the scale must be turned off, then the scales
can be lifted and cleaned using soft detergent, mix water and
ethanol/alcohol. After cleaning the scale is turned on and ckecked again.
