intro: 3 Ways to Create a Virus
I know this is going to be controversial. This is for informational purposes only. DO NOT spread or release the viruses created in this article. This will land you in jail. I am
going to teach you how to create a virus. One very basic batch virus to code yourself and two virus construction kits.

DO NOT RELEASE THESE VIRUSES.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press... Right?

I do not believe this to be a violation of the Instructables TOS, as I discourage you from releasing the viruses and I do not give you the viruses, I simply tell you how to
create them.

step 1: DIY (very) Basic Batch Script That Does Essentially Nothing
Please note new title. You may wish to skip to the next step.

What you should do here is to open a window of notepad. Enter

FORMAT C:

and save the file as disk_destroyer_basic.bat.

This won't spread or do anything fancy. It will just wipe your hard disk. There are a few quirks to be worked out with this method, but like I said, informational purposes
only.

http://www.instructables.com/id/3-Ways-to-Create-a-Virus/
step 2: Batch Virus Construction Kit
Alright. Now for some more adventurous tactics. We are going to use a free virus creator program to make our next virus.
We will use the free Batch Virus Contruction Kit. Click to
download the BVCK.
This is a really easy method of making viruses. It is just a yes or no command line wizard. Move through the wizard and answer yes, no, number selection, and freeform
entry.
Then BVCK will generate a .BAT virus with your selected options.

If you would release the created virus, please do not use this tool or follow any of the steps in this article. (I know, if you were actually stupid enough to do that, you won't
listen to me.)

step 3: GenVir
Here is another virus creator. Download it here:

http://vx.netlux.org/vx.php?id=tg02

This makes it very clear what you should and should not do.
This is a cracked version, but use this version because its translated.
Basically you go to the generator menu and you select the items you want. Then you make a little .exe file. Remember... do not release this.

GenVir is so advanced that you actually can make useful security tools with it.

My example below is an Internet Explorer deleter. (a useful security tool in itself)

Wot if I type
del Music
wil that delete any file with the title Music??

collard41 says: Oct 26, 2008. 4:20 AM REPLY

what you have to do is to navigate around command prompt using the cd command and then find where you want to get to (you can see this as it
tells you the directory of it) and then go to the folder above and then type del "(the folder)" in quotations. beware though, it gets deleted right off
the system and does not get put into recycle bin and does not ask for confimation

you can automatically perform a format by using the following:
format c: /autotest

it won't ask you anything, and if you make it like this:

format c: /autotest > nul
it won't even show you anything, all you will see if hard drive activity
Having said that, this "virus" is pretty lame.

cykwong says: Aug 6, 2008. 3:36 AM REPLY

is there any this kind of "virus" in the form of jpg or excel embedded?

nukemm33 says: Sep 3, 2008. 9:57 AM REPLY

I don't know about jpg but you can create a "virus" using VBA in excel. Although, they will have to enable macros in order for it to run.

BatchMan says: Sep 17, 2008. 6:30 AM REPLY

the jpeg vir is impossable, it's just a bunch of 1s and 0s

ac1D says: Sep 26, 2008. 8:36 PM REPLY

jpeg virus(not really virus, but malware) are popular!

formica says: Sep 17, 2008. 2:58 PM REPLY

Everything on a computer is '1's and '0's.
You right click on a JPG file that you took from a camera, and have a look at teh Summary information. You will most likely see the model of
camera that you took it with, the date you took it and alot of other information.
It's called stenography, look it up.
Nothing is impossible.

dynamite boy says: Nov 14, 2007. 4:57 PM REPLY

WARNING THIS GUY IS A FAKE!!!!! i have the Norton anti virus and anti bad computer stuff other stuff. I WOULD RECOMMEND NOT DOING THIS AND
DOWNLOADING NORTON it is the best damn computer protection. when i tried to download the hacking program it did and Norton blocked it and i checked
the status of it and it said in the virus category: VIRUS and in the risk category it said: VERY HIGH. DO NOT DO THIS OR THE NEXT STEP. the only safe
step is the first one. but still do not do that one either.

collard41 says: Aug 26, 2008. 2:11 PM REPLY

have you ever wondered, to create the virus it needs to

get the code from somewhere, and therefore the code
is in the virus maker. hence making the anti virus think
that it is a virus.

I'm using an (I think) experimental piece of ware by Kaspersky Labs. Works great, much better than Norton, which my grandparents use. Viruses all
the time!

Of course it's guna say it's a virus! Because it is a virus creation tool?!? Completely illegal, so yea they wana scare you outa getting involved in virus
activity lol. And for the record, Norton suck BALLS. Like literally man I had a new variant trojan swizzor on my computer, and norton didnt get it lol. I
wrote them a very long email basically saying the equivalent of "F**K YOU" lmfao

bigt4616 says: May 6, 2008. 5:36 PM REPLY

ya, i got a trojen vodu(i think that what it was) now i got threat fire which works pretty good for me so far. but for some reason, my mom still loves to
give norton 50 bucks for every new registration.

schmidtty says: Apr 1, 2008. 9:06 PM REPLY

ya thanks, i almost dloaded it, but norton does suck

decoder1000 says: Mar 31, 2008. 10:51 PM REPLY

yep that is so true ... i was using it before and man... i think it attracted more viruses then it rejected!!!

Rigon says: Mar 23, 2008. 11:09 AM REPLY

In response to your opinion about Norton AV, I'd have to say that although you are entitled to your opinion I'll have to add mine and say that Norton not
only sucks literally, it sucks your memory, CPU time, and HD space only to allow a nasty virus that it can't pick up to keep your system from pukin'.

I use to have Norton AV until one day it didn't pick up a virus that literally wiped out all my .exe files.

Norton is the best at slowing down your computers processing time, now that's a fact.

Peace

jasper28 says: Jul 28, 2008. 5:53 PM REPLY

I could swear that norton planted viruses
in fact, when I switched to avast, it detected various parts of norton as viruses!

http://www.instructables.com/id/3-Ways-to-Create-a-Virus/
schmidtty says: Apr 1, 2008. 9:03 PM REPLY
ya norton is a joke, it does work for stuff off limewire and stuff but if you pres ctrl alt delete while windows xp is loading, and go to performance, watch
when norton loads, it usually takes around 97% of your cpu whil loading, not to mention it takes your computer 5 years to load while it is installed

Tetranitrate says: Mar 28, 2008. 10:30 AM REPLY

I agree with you, Rigon. Before I knew much about computers, I was susceptible to accidentally downloading a virus which would kill my computer.
Norton was only able to catch them 50% of the time, and the ones that got through would kill or severely slow down my computer. As I began to use
my computer more and more often, I found it easier to recognize viruses and spyware, and realized I didn't need Norton anymore.

Removing Norton was a real pain. Norton thinks that anything to get rid of it must be a malicious virus, instead of a person fed up with the software's
ineffectiveness.

This made me laugh, because I realized that Norton was very similar to a virus:
-It didn't do anything useful (for me)
-It took up extra memory, HD space, and processing power
-It is a real bitch to remove

The best way to prevent viruses is an ounce of common sense.

Rigon says: Mar 28, 2008. 12:29 PM REPLY

Amen my brother!

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Peace

littlechef37 says: May 12, 2008. 2:59 PM REPLY

I had norton in 2002 and hated it after install it took 3times longer to start up. That was with a 1.5ghz cpu (at the time) and 512mb of ram.
Since then i have moved to linux.

Dready says: Mar 26, 2008. 5:10 PM REPLY

I can vouch for that. Rigon is right Norton sucks on the whole.

your welcome. although i am an EXTREMELY experienced computer hacker i must say this sight is an elaborate one. it took me a while to figure out
wat the hell was going on in there system. it was pretty much the most crapped up site i have ever seen. but the programs on there are amazing.
most of the ones i have are pretty much illegal and if the feds found me i would be shot......in the head.....it would hurt....... if you want to know what
world wide virus i made.....then you'll have to go to a secret chat room that even he feds can't bypass into. it is where all the hackers go and
exchange tips. but....every once in a while one or two noobs find there way in and we destroy there computers. if you would like to know more go to
my page and ask some questions. i also am an explosives expert.
