best. As we daily go about our lives, practicing our faith, our witness is
what people see in us. Our faith, our joy, and our love hopefully inspire
others. How will you witness to your faith today?” (Mgsr. Stephen J.
Rossetti) Perhaps the sacrifice of a holy hour in the middle of the night---or a holy
hour in the middle of a very stressful day---or at the end of a long day when all you
want is sleep. As the Advent season begins, how will you witness your faith? Call
today, 330-745-6852.

First Sunday of Advent
This Christmas season we would all like to have the peace of Christ, the ability to give as Jesus gave, and
hearts that are not troubled. As the rush begins, reflect on your past celebrations. What is it about
Christmas and gift giving that you find life-giving? What traditions would you especially like to continue?
How can you use your time and talents to spread the joy of the season?

Pastor’s Pick of the Week: “Advent with Dr. Tim Gray”

This Advent season, walk with Dr. Tim Gray on a journey of renewal to ready your heart
for the coming of Christ. Each day of Advent, Dr. Gray will unpack the meaning of this season
and its rich traditions, as well as offer practical advice for making this Advent your best yet.

Christ’s Peace!

Fr. David Majikas

Thank you for your generous support last week for the collection for the Catholic
Campaign for Human Development which supports those who live on the margins and
in poverty in the United States. If you missed the collection, it’s not too late to give!
Visit www.usccb.org/nationalcollections, and click on “How to Give” on the left.

The Giving Tree is present in our Church. Please pull a tag or two, now is
the time. There are many price ranges to choose from. Return your
unwrapped gift(s) according to the directions on the tag the weekend of
December 14 & 15. This year we are supporting Embrace Clinic a.k.a.
Community Pregnancy Center, the Elizabeth Ministries and Barberton Area
Community Ministries (Bags of Love). For your convenience, gifts can be dropped off at
the rectory anytime during regular business hours before the 13 of December.

Give in Thanksgiving – “The nuns left lasting impressions on me,” writes a donor. “I
shall always be grateful for my Catholic education.” Please join in thanking the
thousands of senior Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests who worked
tirelessly to educate the young and serve those in need. Next week’s second collection
is for the Retirement Fund of Religious, which helps hundreds of religious
communities care for aging members. Please give generously.

RCIA UPDATE: Please pray for our Inquirers as they make decisions about taking the next step in the
RCIA process, the Rite of Acceptance, on December 1. Thank you.

we accompany you on your journey toward understanding, clarity, and peace this Advent/Christmas
season. If you are interested in participating in our Grief Support Groups, please contact Rhonda or call
216-930-4866. A reservation is not required, but is appreciated.

prayerfully consider being a part of our Masses this Christmas Season.

As we enter the Christmas Season, St. Augustine Culture of Life would like to take the opportunity to
share a prayer that reflects the REASON FOR THE SEASON.

Redeemer in the Womb:

Lord Jesus Christ, You took our human nature upon Yourself. You shared our life and death, our
childhood and adulthood. You also shared our time in the womb. While still God, while worshipped and
adored by angels, while Almighty and filling every part of the universe, You dwelt for nine months in the
womb of Mary. You were our redeemer in the womb, our God who was a preborn child.
Lord Jesus, we ask you to bless and protect the children who today are in their mothers'
womb. Save them from the danger of abortion. Give their mothers the grace to sacrifice themselves, in
body and soul, for their children. Help all people to recognize in the preborn child a brother, a sister,
saved by You, our Redeemer in the womb. Amen
(Palm of Your Hand – Priest for Life)

Warrior Cards are available….Would you like to pray for our School and PSR students. All
