If this is your first term at University Canada West (UCW), we recommend applying to become a peer
mentee, as you are new to Vancouver and University Canada West.
• Receive information about Vancouver and UCW from your student Peer Supporter during your
first term
• Engage in social events and community life at UCW and around Vancouver
• Increase your knowledge and awareness of the various university services available to you
We will do our best to match you with a Peer Supporter who has similar interests and who we think will
be a good role model for the upcoming year. You should meet with your Peer Supporter for 1-3 hours a
month to check on your academic and personal progress at UCW. You are also encouraged to attend
the group activities each month at UCW. Your Peer Supporter will let you know the times and dates of
these fun events.
