About GCSS Internship Program

The individual will be placed in assignments with one of the below functions in GCSS with an opportunity
of contribute a strategic assignment with the functions. During the program, the individual shall be given
a business challenge and shall be imparted with various technical and soft skill trainings for an accelerated
learning. The candidate is expected to assume to contribute proactively and present findings to the
leadership at the end of the internship.

Key functions which will be offering internship will include:

1. Corporate Finance
 Financial Planning & Analyses :
o Provide business insights and analysis to the CFO organization and empowers business
leaders with actionable intelligence.
o Sets financial plan and forecasts and holds business accountable to drive growth of
revenue and profitability.
o Provides pricing strategies to drive Client strategy around cross selling, business
expansion and developments opportunities
o Provides analytical framework across different client groups and lead various data
configuration and data quality projects
 FRIBS
o Finance and Risk Infrastructure business solutions (FRIBS) function drives technology led
change management in corporate Finance.
o It acts as a bridge between the Finance, Risk, Treasury teams and IT teams.

Information Classification: General


 Global Treasury
o Global Treasury (GT) is responsible for overall balance sheet management including credit,
interest rate, and liquidity risk management.
o The focus is on optimizing the company’s balance sheet while maximizing net interest
income (NII) within the risk appetite and regulatory constraints.
 Assurance Functions
o Part of second line of defense and responsible for performing independent reviews
around regulatory submissions and ensuring compliance.
o There are annual activities that involve Risk Assessment of the review area, which is used
to inform the planned assurance activity, Design of a (multi-year) plan detailing the
assurance work that will be completed, Execution of plan and Management reporting,
including regular governance committee updates

2. Global Employee Onboarding


o Services across the Offer, Employee Set Up, Employee Commence and Employee
Aftercare parts of the employee onboarding process partnering with GHR, IT, Global
Security and Marketing

3. Global Human Resource


o Repeatable HR operations and transactional activities that can be measured by KPI’s;
process-oriented; enabled by technology
o Designed for scale and mutualization of resources
o Responsible for process and regulatory compliance
o Focus on the end to end process view and clearly defined accountabilities and ownership

4. Global Marketing
o The Global Marketing Shared Services team supports research, content strategy, writing,
editing, graphic design, digital distribution and marketing administration functions across
geographies.

5. Global Procurement
o Procurement Shared Services is involved in managing Category for APAC and NA (CLASS,
Goods & Services , IT, Travel & Cards, and Professional Services).
o Other works being performed out of global hubs are Analytics & Reporting, Tactical
Buying, order Management, Contracting Services, Market Data Services , RFX Services,
PR – PO Operations, Contract Administration and Order Management

6. Strategic Projects & Transformation


o Transitions : Transition hub for all transitions from any location or LE to any location or
LE
o Continuous Improvement & Transformation: Delivering operational efficiencies and
effectiveness to drive productivity across GCSS landscape encompassing People, Process
or Technology as required. Driving Ideation to identify opportunities at process level and
help deliver operational excellence.

Information Classification: General


o Strategic Projects & PMO: Support to drive high value critical projects which are crucial
for enhanced performance and new capability development within GCSS. PMO support
to manage and oversee end-to-end execution.
o Global Reporting: Optimizing Reporting requirements for the organization by utilization
enhanced visualization tools (such as Tableau) and creating frameworks for future
reporting.

Responsibilities

 Work closely with business units to understand business needs and determine appropriate Project
objectives and outcomes expected.
 Participate in or conduct a wide range of analysis on critical and complex issues which includes
key objectives of the project.
 Prepare initial schedules and reports, including primary data provider capture point and work
paper preparations.
 Work closely with business teams to understand the requirements and translate the same to
functional requirements of various business and infrastructure applications.
 Execute all tasks within the project lifecycle starting from prioritization of demand items, project
initiation, requirements gathering, configuration, testing all the way through to post go live
production support.

Skills / Knowledge

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), advanced levels of
excel (pivot tables, formulas, excel workbook maintenance best practices)
 Strong quantitative aptitude/skills and experience modeling complex financial concepts
 Strong verbal, written communication and visualization skills to effectively convey project
outcomes via reports and presentations
 Project and time management skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently or
collaboratively on complex projects
 Highly successful in working independently, in teams and across a matrixed environment
 Demonstrated passion and interest in global financial markets
