Problems and Plan of action

1. Unavailability of clean and pure drinking water: As temperature during summers

reaches around 47-48 degree Celsius and due to scanty rainfall, there is shortage of water. There is
water rationing during summer. Water comes every alternate day one hour in the morning as well as
at night. We have decided to educate the people regarding water harvesting and preservation of
water.

Plan of Action

 Educate and give tips to the villagers (especially children) on water conservation
 Enlighten them with the benefits of water conservation and preservation
 Improvement in the water distribution system.
 Introduce water harvesting technique in the village to provide a long term solution
 Promote the thought of water conservation through wall paintings in the area. (Avoid sticking
posters to save paper )

2. Transportation Facility: During our first visit, we came to know that people mostly use their
personal vehicle for transportation but for public transportation, they have to walk some kms to
reach the main road. Therefore, we as a team have decided to talk to the Sarpanch regarding the
same.

Plan of Action

We are planning to talk to the head of the village and will try to get a finance from Small co-
operative or rural bank from the nearby town. They will in return generate employment for
unemployed person. They can use this for different purpose and provide cab services to nearby
villages.

3. Health care facility: There is no proper hospital or clinic present in the village for even a minor
ailment. The nearby healthcare is a small clinic, which is usually closed, and a proper hospital is
seven kms away. They have to travel until Mohpa village for basic healthcare facility. We as a team
would like to connect to some doctor in Kalmeshwar to visit Buddha on regular intervals and will try
to pitch to pharmacy personnel.
In addition, there are major problem regarding Sanitary Napkin and Women Hygiene. Actually,
women in rural areas use clothes for their menstrual cycle instead of using sanitary napkins. They
reuse those clothes even after washing them. They are unaware of the health & hygiene factor
hidden behind it. Those reused clothes and even any cloth used for this is the medium of unhygienic
life to women themselves.

4. Dairy and Agricultural products:

The principal crops are Cotton, Soybean and Oranges. The villagers are not able to sell their harvest
even at Minimum support price due to indulgence of intermediaries. They do not have proper storage
facility for their crops. There are no warehouses which results in crop perishing in adverse weather
condition.

Plan of Action

We will try to educate people on various government schemes through they can avail reasonable prices
for their harvest. Few of the government schemes are as follows:

 Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

 Government’s special scheme for farmers for installation of solar pumps and grid connected
solar power plans
 We can educate farmers on the quality of seeds and usage of fertilizers and pesticide.
 Villagers can contact NDDB/ Mother Dairy for supplying their milk production at better rates
than market.

5. Education: At Budhla village there is only one school which is operating till 4th standard. For
further education, they have to go to the Kalmeshwar.

We can request Sarpanch to talk to the authorities and coordinate with them so that the schools can
provide education up to 12th standard.

We can also educate people about various Government schemes run for the Rural population as well as
Minority of the country.
 Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna(PMKVY)
 Samagra Shiksha
