REMINDERS:
1. Prepare for a quiz and a recitation every meeting.
2. Long Quiz will be administered week before the term exam.
3. Assignments & drills will be given in a separate sheet
4. Learning resources from the web will be provided in each assignment given
5. Lecture notes will be given to the class president and secretary in pdf form.
6. All lecture notes, articles from journals/newspapers and assignments shall be compiled and binded as reference to
Intermediate Accounting.
7. Always bring your white LONG folder. Always have your pink/blue paper.

CLASSROOM POLICY:
1. All students shall submit an index card with their 2x2 picture. The color will be pink (1-1) and blue (1-2). Information
to be provided are the ff: name, all contact numbers, guardian & phone no, address while studying in CLSU.
2. Students shall choose the seat he likes to be seated for the whole semester. A seat plan per section shall be
submitted with 1x1 picture. The assigned color of the class shall be used for the folder. Folder title:
(LINE 1) CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK & STANDARDS (LINE 2) ACCOUNTING 1200 (LINE 3) 2ND SEMESTER
(LINE 4) SY 2018-19
3. Special quiz is given to all students who are excused. However, if a student absence is unexcused, special quiz may
be taken but only 50% will be credited as his score. No erasable pen is allowed during quizzes and examinations.
4. Every meeting quiz will be given as concept check including the lectures from the previous meetings.
5. Comprehensive quiz will be given for cases.
6. Students shall be arranged in alphabetical order during comprehensive quizzes and term examination period. Only
black or blue pen is allowed.
7. Attendance will be monitored on a regular basis. Do remember that if 20% of total attendance had been incurred as
absences, you will be given a grade of 5 (base on the University Academic policies). If we have 17 weeks, the
maximum allowed absence is three (3) for each class in a team teaching mode.
8. Special exam shall be taken during the prescribed period as specified in the University Academic policies.
9. All students shall present their final examination permit during the final term examination otherwise an INC grade will
be incurred (University policy)
10. All seat works, drills and assignments are graded based on completeness (50%) and timeliness (50%).
11. All assignments given are to be submitted on the scheduled date or next meeting unless otherwise stated.
12. Oral presentation will be based on confidence/delivery (30%) correctness (35%) integration of concepts (35%)

13. Term Papers are evaluated based on the ff:


Comprehensiveness (applied concept) 40%
Problems level of difficulty 20%
(Foundation or advance)

Submission is after each term examination unless otherwise stated


14. Cases evaluation will be:
Timeliness 30%
Comprehensiveness (applied concept) 35
Relevance & reliability (cited source) 35

Submission will be on the date specified when the case is given to the students.
15. All gadgets shall be on silent mode.
16. The group assigned to monitor cleanliness, recorder and checker of class activities, collect notebooks, erase the
board and timer shall be based on the seat plan.
17. Always wear your uniform and ID
18. A make-up class will be scheduled when there are suspension of classes or when classes were affected by official
business activities.
19. A tutorial class (one to two hours per week) will be undertaken on a regular basis to minimize the effect of regular
and special holidays.
20. Do all seat works in your filler notebook
21. All assignments shall use the columnar unless otherwise stated.
22. All assignments, term papers and cases are to be submitted to Ms. Rossette Sarenas.
23. LONG FOLDER with a clip will be used during quizzes and term examinations as cover for the questionnaire.
24. All materials from IFRS, IASB, IAS, IFAC, FASB, PFRS, PAS, BOA, PICPA, SEC, BSP, BIR, Insurance
Commission, CDA and other organizations affecting the accountancy profession will be used and cited.
25. During TERM EXAMINATION students are advised to do their personal needs (i.e. going to the confort room)
before taking the exam.
