FINDING TREASURE
Expect abundance around every corner
Purpose
Embrace an unyielding belief that endows your life with riches,
serendipities, godsends, boundless blessings, and continuous love. This
Paraliminal heightens your sense of awareness of your innate gifts
and abilities. It helps you readily notice and effortlessly act upon the
opportunities that favor your life with prosperity, happiness, and all forms
of treasure.
Before Listening
Take a moment to set your intention on the treasure you choose to claim as
yours—the reward you desire to discover and enjoy. As you think of this
ideal end result, you begin holding it in the full power of your imagination.
Your mind and body become a compass that leads you to your treasure.
You may also choose to listen with no specific goal in mind but simply with
a positive expectancy for any treasures the universe has in store for you.
4
How it works
This session activates a positive expectancy for you to enjoy greater
possibilities, whether your intention is finding actual treasure, the means
to own a new car, the solution to a challenging problem, more joy in
your relationships, or fulfilling the promise a new day brings. Once you
consciously establish your intention or a goal you want to reach, it is the
power of your nonconscious resources that helps you find the best ways and
means to attain it.
As you hold your destination in mind, your body and mind become the
instruments of sensing, an “internal GPS” or inner guidance mechanism
that is tuned to your higher purpose and highest good. It is this guidance
mechanism that will lead you to the clues the universe has left for you.
Confident and courageous daily actions, with a mindset of positive
expectancy, keep you open to receiving life’s treasures on your journey.
While you sleep, your dreaming mind continues to reflect upon your
experiences of the day, connecting you to a deeper source of information
and revealing new insights. You gain greater flexibility in the choices you
make so you can proceed elegantly toward your desired end result.
Perhaps someone told you that you would “never be able” to accomplish
something, and you proved them wrong. As an adult you may have
discovered that if someone stood in your way, they could not block you
from a goal.
These resourceful examples of “you” are actually living parts of you that
can be called upon to help you accomplish your goals.
The Finding Treasure Paraliminal gathers a team of resourceful parts of
you, each with unique and valuable gifts, talents, and strengths that can
help you successfully navigate the challenges you face on your daily
journey through life.
Achieving Goals
Every goal you set is the beginning of a treasure hunt to the destination of
successful accomplishment. Unfortunately, many people get sidetracked,
struggle to stay motivated, lack focused effort, get bogged down with
doubts, and fail to garner the necessary support to stay on track.
This session helps you discover the many treasures that can support you as
you work to attain your goals.
Think of your goals as destinations, accomplishments on the greater journey
to your life’s fulfillment—the highest purpose for your life. Imagine within
you a marvelous collaborative team—a treasure-hunting party—comprised
of a group of internal resources (those gifts, talents, and strengths just
mentioned). Once these resources chart a map to your destination, your
imagination uses them in a loving way to rally the support you need.
7
This treasure-hunting party helps you to find and decipher clues left for
you by the universe and your higher intelligence and motivates you to take
courageous action with greater confidence each day.
Use this session:
• When you are distracted from your goals.
• When your motivation for a big project or task weakens.
• When your positive outlook fades.
Facing Uncertainty, Solving Problems
When you have no clue how to proceed in some area of your life and have
a decision to make, use this Paraliminal. It can spark a natural flow of ideas
and insights that will get you started.
Listening is especially helpful when the solution to a difficult problem is
elusive, whether it’s a personal predicament or longstanding issue at work.
When you have tried everything you can think of and nothing seems to
work, walk away from it, at least for a while. Listen to this session and let
your nonconscious mind do its work for you. Your relaxed body and mind
will allow the best ideas to surface.
For instance, if you are in need of a new car, you may begin to notice a
string of car sale ads with great bargains or see the model of car you want
on the road every time you drive. If you are seeking a romantic partner,
someone new may enter your life, or you may find yourself attracted to a
long-time acquaintance who you suddenly see in a whole new light.
When planning a dinner party, the perfect recipes may fall into your hands.
When searching for that perfect gift for someone special in your life, it
almost magically appears. No matter the desire, your thoughts have set in
motion the treasure-seeking mechanism within.
Finding Treasure
When engaged in a challenge or competition—like finding the hidden
treasure from clues hidden in Pete Bissonette’s novel Breakfast Tea &
Bourbon—listen to this session every day. Then as you go about your daily
routine, your nonconscious mind will continue working to solve it, perhaps
sending answers your way when you least expect them.
BENEFITS
• Increase blessings of abundant well-being, greater connections with others,
financial prosperity, and happiness.
• Use the internal guidance system for the “true north” of your higher
life purpose.
9
• Realize the presence of life’s treasures wherever you are, in whatever form
they might appear for you.
• Sense and observe with clarity, deciphering clues the universe leaves
for you.
• Take courageous action in the direction of your goals, and follow through
with persistence and tenacity.
• Venture forth each day with a childlike curiosity and freedom to explore.
• Carry into your daily life the treasure of your true and expansive nature.
• Stay focused on the task at hand and the steps to take in the moment,
maintaining a sense of balance, eagerness, and confident energy to
proceed.
• Feel the loving support of the universe with you always.
• Access your dreams as a source of information from your highest self.
Before sleep, instruct your mind with a clear directive that you will remember
your dreams upon awakening. First thing in the morning, or if you wake
during sleep, immediately ask yourself, “What was I just dreaming?”
Lie still and remember the striking elements of the dream and any signs
or symbols. Do they bring up any feelings? Do they suggest an action that
can be taken? Freely think about the dream’s meaning for you, writing your
observations in your journal.
Also consider having a “parts party” while you sleep! Research has shown
the more frequently you remember dreams and the clearer and more
detailed you reconstruct your dream images, the more likely you are to
lucidly dream. In lucid dreaming, you develop a conscious awareness of
your dreams while you are dreaming. You recognize you are dreaming and
then consciously interact with your dream world, creating whatever you
would like, such as a “parts party.”
The various people, characters, and animals in a dream are considered by
many to be different aspects of the self. Consider all the things you might
uncover and discover if you played the role of every single character in
your dreams!
Try this technique developed by Stephen LaBerge, Ph.D., of the Stanford
Sleep Research Laboratories, to help you:
1) During the early morning when you awaken spontaneously from a
dream, go over the dream several times until you have it memorized.
2) While lying in bed and returning to sleep, say to yourself, “Next time
I’m dreaming I will remember to recognize I’m dreaming.”
11
3) Imagine yourself as being back in the dream just rehearsed; only this
time, feel the realization that you are aware of yourself in the dream.
4) Repeat steps two and three until you feel your intention is clearly fixed
or until you fall asleep.
Learn to lucidly dream and you can readily tap into all the supportive
aspects of your inner genius at night to help you find more treasures during
your day.
4) How will you know when you have attained your goal? This is
your evidence procedure, the internal measures you will make to
acknowledge you have arrived. Knowing this will also help you
observe the progress you are making.
5) What stops you from achieving your outcome now? This might be a
tough one, but then again, you might know right away.
You may want to write down your purpose for listening to strengthen your
intention and focus. The following guidelines can help you clarify your
purpose and ensure every goal you have is well formed.
1) State your goal in the positive—specify what you want, not what you
do not want.
2) Focus on a goal within your control.
3) Preserve what you value most; ensure the trade-offs of achieving it are
worth it to you.
4) Write your goal in the present tense, as if it has been realized.
5) Craft a measurable goal so you will know when you have achieved it.
