Q1. Describe the product and services of the project. Do this in your own words, and don’t
hesitate to add some of your own thoughts to this description.
A. The organization is concentrating on giving an electronic help of Kiosks
concentrating more on innovation stage, slanted towards furnishing an assistance with the
item in question. Booths would help in quicker exchanges and upgradation for US in the
venture stage.

Q2. What are the main goals and objectives of this project? Again, don’t hesitate to add
some things you know need to be included that might not be included in the exercise
setup description. Include some assumptions and constraints that the project might
have.
A. Goals and Objectives behind this undertaking is essentially adaption of innovation
at a quicker pace and finishing the task concentrating more on productivity and
alluring for a normal financial specialist also.

Q3. What are the main, high-level project deliverables?


A. The High-Level Project Deliverables are the Software’s that should have been utilized
which requires a license, simple mechanized menus, selling of standard items. The structures
of Kiosks should be planned appropriately as BIC isn't a development organization.
Q4. List the responsibility and authority Jim Thoroughgood would require to succeed on
this project.
A. Jim Thoroughgood need to take required authorizations as for elevated level
hardware, to turn out to a choice of which field of staff is required and to investigate on the
most proficient method to make a standard for the assembling of the item, caring for the
procedure and take required enhancements prompting effective working. After the item is
fabricated legitimate establishment and testing of the item to the best.
Q5. Is it a good idea to have the project manager’s responsibility and authority written in
this project charter? Why?
A. Yes, it is great as it will make different partners mindful about the jobs and
obligations of the Project Manager and the partners would regard the reality and acknowledge
the specialists being circulated by Jim and keeping the standards and guidelines forced by Jim
concerning the arranging and execution of the undertaking.
Q6. What are the resource and cost estimates? Can you list some major milestones and
when they might occur?
A. Resources that are required-
 Hardware
 Software
 Human Resources
 Equipment
 Electronic Equipment

Overall the resources would cost around $2 Million for 25 Kiosks.


Major Milestones –
 Requesting for Software - As BIC is not a construction company it would involve
difficulty in getting permits for the software.
 Training to the Staff would be required.
 There are possibilities that during a period of time, the work would not be executing
efficiently so proper checks need to be done.

Q7. Who needs to sign the charter and to whom should the charter given?
A. The charter should be given to the Jim Thoroughgood, Project Manager as he would be
planning and executing the project so he would able to analyse the possibilities, milestones,
whom he is ready to get employed and till the installation how the process needs to be carried
out. As Project Charter would help him authorize responsibilities to the people being
involved in the project.
The charter needs to be signed by the parties involved including the
staff members and other stakeholders as they should know about the role being assigned, the
milestones that they can face and thereby take corrective actions. The company would work
as a team and result in an efficient made product and attract the average investors as well.

 Structure to be defined by December 5,2019
 Getting electronic-innovated products by January 7,2020.
 Availability of software applications by January 25,2020.
 Installation of 25 kiosks Completed on October 7,2020
 Testing Completed by November 15,2020.

Budget Information: Budgeted $ 5 Million for 25 Kiosks


Hardware and Software Costs: $2 Million for software purchase.

Project Manager: Jim Thoroughgood

Project Objectives: Introduce electronic built Kiosks and installed within nine months.
Softwares should be purchased despite of a non-construction company.

Main Project Success Criteria: H/w, S/W must meet all written specifications. Be
thoroughly tested and completed within 9 months.

Approach:

Issue Request for Quotation to install electronic kiosks in the mall.

Issue Request for acquiring the need for software application with easy-to-use graphical
interface.

Use internal Staff as much as possible for planning. And Installation
