Conclusion
In general, Vietnam faced to trade deficit from 2010 to 2011 and to trade
surplus from 2011 to now and it is predicted that the trade balance would be
surplus in the near future. There are three main factors that affect to trade
balance are: import, export and exchange rate.
With more than 30 years of implementation of comprehensive socio-
economic reforms, the Vietnamese economy has achieved great achievements. In
particular, trade activities in export and import have had many positive changes
contributing to economic development of Vietnam. In this period, many
management policies of trade balance have been adjusted, supplemented and
completed, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state
management in these areas. However, along with the change in international context
and situation, the dramatic changes in domestic socio-economic development,
especially the development model transformation process, restructuring the
economy, increasing international integration, etc., have shown that there are lots of
challenges and constraints need to be improved to ensure our country's economy
continue to grow rapidly and sustainably in the years to come.
