2. Course Details:
Course description: This course aims to provide knowledge on basic concepts and students will
get good all-round mathematical knowledge together with the ability to experience more
specialize results, methods and ideas. The study deals with concepts of theory of matrices,
expansion of functions in differential calculus, solving problems using integral calculus and
solving first order and higher degree differential equations.
Course content:
Solutions of ordinary differential equations of first order and first degree: linear differential
equations, reducible to linear differential equation, exact equations, equation reducible to exact.
equations of first order and higher degree – non linear first order, higher degree –(Mention)
solvable for p - solvable for y - solvable for x - Clairaut's equation - singular solution -
Geometric meaning. Orthogonal trajectories in Cartesian and polar forms.
