Trial by Publicity: An Assessment on the Impact of a Local Television Show

that Airs Public Trial through Media in the City of Malolos.

Statement of the Problem:

The main goal of this research is to provide an assessment on the impact of a television
show done by a broadcast journalist that airs public trial and acts on complaints through
media in the City of Malolos. This study seeks to answer the following questions
respectively:

Main Problem:
Why do ordinary people resort to a local television show that airs public trials by media
concerning legal complaints and advices instead of going to authorities and
professionals that practice law?

Minor Problem:
1. Does trial by publicity or trial by media violates and abridges freedom of speech
and freedom of expression?
2. Does a broadcast journalist have the right to render trial by publicity and acts on
complaints of ordinary people?
3. Does trial by publicity and the action of a broadcast journalist violate the practice
of law?
