1. Materials / Process - Bench Grinder Machine (see illustration 2).
Preparation a. Prepare necessary materials.
b. Ensure that the user's manual of this machine is clearly understood
before the start of operation. 2
2. Machining - Switch on and set-up the machine.
a. Wear appropriate PPE's (see illustration 1). mask,eye protection,gloves,apron,safety shoes

b. Prepare all necessary materials for the process. 2.a


c. No matches/lighters & cellphones are brought inside the working area
to avoid fire and/or other possible accidents.
d. Ensure that the materials (cleaning agent, etc.) to be used does not MSDS
contain any hazardous substances.
e. Never touch the movable (grinding wheel) parts of the machine to
avoid cut and other possible accident. Observe proper distance
of finger from the machine to avoid burn due to spark and eye irritation
due to dust particle. (see illustration 2.a).
Note : Properly dispose dust particle accordingly.
f. Perform cleaning / preventive maintenance as scheduled to avoid PPE's, tools & other cleaning materials

e. Ensure that there will be no oil (and other chemical) spillage when
operating the machine. In case of spillage, immediately take action.
Use saw dust / rug to contain the spill to avoid accident and
contamination.

f. Dispose the contaminated rug/saw dust properly. Observe proper


waste segregation (refer to Waste Segregation Guidelines).
