Please describe the type of the system being developed.

As the title of the project suggests, the particular application is concerned with the
education system, primarily a sort of CBT with the main subject in geography and also
the social forum with the Students and teachers interaction social forum where they can
interact with each other during the off class hours and clarify their doubts. Also, along
with these functionalities there will be the provision of online examination as well as
assignments uploading with feedback forums as well. Above all the system can be
divided into two parts which are illustrated in the following points:
• Desktop application which will constitute of the CBT part. The Cbt part here will
be for the on class teaching hours where Teachers can supplement theoretical
concept with the interactive knowledge. The main subject here is opted for
geography.
• Also along the desktop application there will be the Web application part which
will constitute of student-teacher social forum where they can interact during off
class hours. Thus the application can serve as a social forum the particular
educational institute.
• Besides this there will be provision for the online examination and also online
submission conducted by the institute which will help in attainment of efficient
academic process.

Who is system being developed for?

• The system primarily deals with the concerned educational institutes which are
engaged in excess of paper work in carrying out various academic processes. The
following will automate the process as the teaching as well examination will
become computer work and also student and teacher can interact with each other
at any time.
• Also it will help students who realty work hard to grasp the bookish concept and
can easily grasp the interactive and lucid content of the CBT.
• Also teachers can be benefitted from the system as it will help them to impart the
concept of the particular subject efficiently.
Why is such a system required?

• In various educational institutes we observe that excess of manpower and

paperwork is required to carry out the various academic processes. This turns
these hectic tasks into more complex process with various inefficiencies indulging
within it.
• Also students find it hard grasp the theoretical and bookish concept of the
particular subject. When they will use the interactive CBT, they for the sure will
find it lucid and helpful as well as it will provide virtual experience to them so
that they visualize the matter and grasp it more efficiently as compared to
conventional teaching. With the social forum they can also interact with the
teachers online, during the off class hours and also give their exams as well as
submit their assignments online.
• Also equally intended for the faculty members in the educational institute, they
can use this application for imparting the concept of the matter interactively
efficiently.
What will be the main challenge for you in building the system?

The main challenge is to deliver a more interactive and user friendly application to user
with various friendly features so that a user can find it more lucid and can use it more
effectively and efficiently. Various features can be attributed in order to attain these
main objectives:
• Incorporating various multimedia tools such as Flash (Action Script3.0) will be
used.
• Effective and efficient use of HCIU design principles in order to develop the
system in user friendly manner.
• Incorporating new multimedia tools such as #d max and Adobe Photoshop and
also AJAX in Web application case.
The main challenge in this area is to adapt with the new technologies so that one can
work with them efficiently in order to develop the system with more advanced and
interactive features.

What new ideas and theory will you need to learn to build the system?

Above all, the application which is to be developed will consist of the desktop application
and web applications as well which will be integrated to form the whole system.
• New technologies including 3d max and Adobe Photoshop will be incorporated in
developing the whole system.
• Besides this for web application par C#.net will be basic language
• The system will consists of both web and desktop application where desktop
application will consist of CBT content, and Web applications part will consist of
social forum for all teachers and students.
• For desktop applications, Flash with action script3.0 will be the base for
development.
