Observations and Calculations:

For 0.04M NaOH solution:

No.of moles (n)
As Molarity (M) = 𝑉𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑚𝑒 𝑜𝑓𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑛 𝐿

n=M*V
n=0.04*0.25
n= 0.01 gmol
Mass (m) =n*M=0.1g
Initial readings:
Initial temperature =TO= 28°C
Initial conductivity= 11.4 mS

From graph:
Slope = 8817.6
Intercept = -100.37
Therefore intercept =koCA = -100.37
ko= -100.37/ CA = -100.37/ 0.04 = -2509.25 L/gmol
Slope= αCAko= 8817.6
α= 8817.6/CAko = 8817.6/0.04* (-2509.25)
α= -87.851

n=M*V
n=0.02*0.25
n= 0.005 gmol

Comments/Conclusions: From above calculations we can conclude that if concentration of

NaOH is higher conductivity is higher similarly if temperature is higher then also conductivity is
higher.
Values of α and ko are higher (greater) for 0.04M than for 0.02M solution. This also indicate higher
value of conductivity for higher concentration of NaOH.
