ENGLISH LANGAUGE ACHIEVEMENT TEST (ELAT)

INSTRUCTION:
The purpose of this test is to measure 9th class students’ performance in English. The test is comprised of 48
items/questions on three different dimensions of English Language i.e. A) Reading, B) Writing Skills with
Grammar and C) Literature/Textbooks and Long Reading texts. Each question is followed by several
possible answers. Please read them carefully. You have to select most appropriate option/answer mentioned
against each question and put a () mark against that answer in the separate answer sheet provided to you.
Please don’t write anything on this question booklet. Information furnished by you will be kept confidential
and will be used for research purpose only. So you are requested to provide your responses intelligently and
frankly.
