 OBJECTIVE:
The main purpose to choose this topic is to know about
and to explore the knowledge about what is going on in industrial
sector in Pakistan. This topic relates to the economic issues and
challenges faced by industrial and agriculture sector in Pakistan.
So, here I will put light on the impact of energy crisis and what
should be done to prevent our industrial sector from this
threatening problem.

 INTRODUCTION:
Energy is consider as a life line for every economy
around the globe and considered as a most important component
in the course of the development. Pakistan is the one of the most
populous geographically and strategically important countries
located in south Asia. We know that Industries are the backbone
of every country and the economy depend upon the system of
industrial sector. Being an under developed country many social
issues are confronting the Pakistan among which the main issue is
that has weekend the economy of Pakistan is the “ENERGY
CRISIS” at industrial sector directly or indirectly mediates many
difficulties in facilitating the social problems. It is the loss of the
energy that can’t be recovered by our different industrial sectors
including textile industries, sugar industries and cement industries
due to which our economy is not at a stable level and become
fragile.
 CURRENT SITUATION:
The relationship of the energy consumption
and the economic growth is investigating the last few
decades. According to different researches electricity is
the most vital component and richest source of
production and economic growth is followed by the gas
foe the domestic and commercial purpose. Now in
present condition Pakistan is facing the decline in the
production of gas and electricity and both are not
enough to meet the commercial needs. Energy crisis at
industrial sector are too much that industries are not
able to give the good output to country and to stable the
economy of country and at economic level it is very
difficult to maintain the GDP.According to new survey
report total installed capacity of electrical energy is
about 22, 9574,4 Megawatts. Total demand is about
17000 megawatts and short fall is about 4000-5000MW.
The energy sector of Pakistan is considered as the
underdeveloped due to lack of management and
supervision. The main problem is the gap between
energy supply and demand so the major issue is the
unbalancing of energy level. Due to this now we are
indulged in a critical condition that now it becomes very
difficult for us to come out from this problem. To narrow
down the gap between demands and supply Pakistan is
suffering from the “load shedding”.
