A note to you:
It’s time to be working on Find It Here 2011. The Mission Board
Report by KBC President Don Mathis gave the following
timetable.
 During this fall and early winter, Kentucky Baptists will be
asked to conduct prayer walks or drives along every street in the
state, praying for people living and working in that area.
 In the weeks leading up to Easter (April 24, 2011) Kentucky
Baptists will be encouraged to engage in 21 days of scripture
reading, fasting and prayer using a specially designed booklet
featuring the books of John and Romans.
 Kentucky Baptists will then deliver a special scripture
booklet featuring John and Romans to specific lost friends and
neighbors for whom they have been praying.
 The booklets will also be delivered to places not reached in
the original effort, including nursing homes, assisted living
facilities, prisons and college campuses.
 The state’s Hispanic and deaf populations will also be
receiving the scripture portions.
 GET INVOLVED
You might be asking: Do I have time to prayer walk or drive the
streets and roads? Do I have time to engage in 21 days of
scripture reading, fasting and prayer? Do I have time to deliver a
booklet to friends and neighbors?
We are asked to pray for only 3 people we know that is lost
without Christ. If we decide we don’t have time to do that, that
friend or neighbor may have plenty of time (an eternity in Hell)
to ask why didn’t someone invite me to Christ? The ball’s in our
court, what are we going to do about it?
Food For Thought
Dr. A. W. Tozer said this, “ This we have heard: "I am a born
again Christian and I am happy that my sins are forgiven and I
go to church on Sunday because I like the fellowship!" We ask:
"Do you not go to put yourself in the way of spiritual blessing?"
The answer: "No, I am saved and I do not need anything!" We
ask: "Have you offered to witness, to pray, to encourage, to
assist, to participate in your church's life and outreach?" The
answer: "No. My church seems to get along very well without
my help!" Brethren, this "non participation" kind of faith is a
strange parody on Bible Christianity. Men and women who say
they are believers just cancel themselves out. Is it something we
have learned from the sporting events? The great majority are
spectators. They come and sit! If there is any true spiritual life
within us, God will give us a gift of some kind and the humble
soul will find something to do for God!”

ALLANSVILLE– Everyone enjoyed the Hallelujah Hayride on Oct.
27th. Also had a great Revival in Oct. Collecting toys for the Freeda
Harris Baptist Center toy give away at Christmas time.
BEECH GROVE– No Report
BOONES CREEK-The Children’s Choir will present “Christmas
Hangups” on Wed. Dec. 15th at 6:30pm. Our Semi-Annual Blood Drive
is Sunday, Dec. 12th and the Sanctuary Choir will present “Sing Joy”
Sunday, Dec. 19th at 7 pm.
CALVARY–Thanksgiving Dinner Nov. 17th-6:30 pm. Fixing Shoe
Boxes for Billy Graham. Sunshine Party at the Nursing Home.
Collecting Food for the needy.
CENTRAL-We had our 100th Anniversary Celebration: Youth Bash,
Community-Wide Carnival, Anniversary Worship Service, and a
Worship Concert. We also had Trunk & Treat. “Christmas County
Spelling Bee” presented by our Children’s Choir will be on Sunday Dec.
5 at 6 pm. “Hope of the World” an annual Christmas celebration will be
presented by the Worship Ministry on Saturday Dec. 11th at 7 pm and
Sunday Dec. 12 at 6 pm. Christmas Eve Candlelight and Communion
Service will be at 5 pm Friday Dec. 24th.
CLAY CITY-The Red River Assoc. used our building and
facilities for a group from Nortonville Baptist Church, Approx.
35-40 people. They ministered at the Nursing Home, Hope Hill
Children’s Home and other projects. They had evangelistic
meeting’s at our Church Mon.-Wed. and a block party Thursday
Evening.
CORINTH-Dec. 5th- 11am Worship Service “Hanging of the
Greens” following the AM Worship, Thanksgiving and
Christmas Dinner. Dec. 15th- Caroling, 6pm. Everyone welcome.
Dec. 19th -11am Worship Service, Christmas Program.
COW CREEK- VBS 1 day event Dec 18th-10am to 4pm.
CREEKSIDE–No Report
EMMANUEL-Our Youth Group had a Halloween Party with
everyone dressing up as a Bible Characters. They enjoyed a Bible
quiz game along with many home made treats. We also had a trio
this month called the “The Mountain Trio”. They are a group of
young teenagers who sing Bluegrass Gospel Music. They were
truly an inspiration to our youth as well as the adults.
EPHESUS-Had Fall Festival Oct. 23rd. Prayer-Drive our area
for Find-it-Here 2011 on Nov. 6th. Had combined Sunday
Evening Worship with Grace Bible Church on Nov. 14th to
commemorate International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted
Church. Thanksgiving Banquet held Nov. 17th. Collecting items
for Operation Happiness and Owsley County Health Department.
Christmas Caroling to shut-ins on Dec. 10 at 6:00pm. Christmas
Dinner at Michael’s Restaurant on Dec. 18th at 5pm. Children’s
Christmas Program Dec. 22nd at 6:30pm. New Year’s Eve party
Dec. 31st from 8:00 pm to midnight.
FAITH–We had a great time at our Autumn Fest. We had our 1st
Lottie Moon March the 1st Sunday in Oct. Set goal for $120.00.
Dec. 12th will be our Thanksgiving/Christmas meal and
fellowship. Everyone is invited.
FRIENDSHIP-Church is using “One Call Now” system for
prayer chain and special meetings etc. Several work projects on-
going. Will purchase Projector, Screen and Computer. Will be
doing Food Baskets for Christmas.
GREENBRIAR–Talked about starting a Card Ministry. Will
discuss annual Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner. Will discuss at
the Church Business Mtg. what Church members would like to
do for needy children at Christmas.
HEIDELBERG–No Report
HERITAGE-God blessed us with a tremendous Trunk & Treat
event! We registered 163 people with 125 of them being visitors.
We concluded our Revelation Bible Study. We focused our
Morning Worship Service on Evangelism, with several personal
testimonies. We continue to see new families visit our Church.
HOWARDS MILL-No Report
IRVINE FIRST-Revival Oct. 24th-27th, the Morning Service was
the Oneida Baptist Choir singing which moved every heart and
lunch was served afterwards. The Evening Service started the
Revival Service with Bro. Jeffery Sparks from Lawrenceburg, KY
The special music was provided by Music Minister Jeremy
Michael. Every heart was revived each night. Nov. 17th Wed.
Night Service starts with the Sunshine Ladies at 5:30pm. Every
lady is invited to attend, except to have a wonderful time. Every
Sunday at 5pm we will have the Christmas Cantata Practice. Come
and help make a joyful noise! Every Tuesday at 6:30pm Men’s
Work Night and all men are invited. Hand Bells-our Music
Minister Jeremie Michael requests that all Youth be here Wed. at
7pm to work on Christmas Program with the Hand Bells.
Thanksgiving Offering Nov. 21st to benefit KY Children’s
Services. Come on out and join us in fellowship.
IVORY HILL-Youth went on trip to visit Shelter Rock. Also had
Harvest Festival for youth with 31 in attendance. Had
Homecoming on Oct. 3rd with dinner served and special singing.
Our Thanksgiving Dinner will be Nov 14th and we will be having
special singing. We are preparing for our Food Boxes for the
needy and our Fruit Baskets for all the widows and widowers for
Christmas. Also excepting names for our Angel Tree to help with
gifts for needy children at Christmas.
JEFFERSONVILLE-Bro. Steve Creech has resigned at
Jeffersonville Baptist Church. Christmas Dinner Dec12th after
Morning Worship. Everyone is invited. We had 3 rededications
and 1 saved on Nov . 21st. There will be a Baptism and Lord’s
Supper on Nov. 28th. We need your prayers.
KIDDVILLE–Christmas/Thanksgiving Dinner on Dec. 4th at
5:00 pm. Dec 19th Christmas Program.
MACEDONIA-Had a great turnout for our Fall Festival, Oct.3rd.
Bro Gaylord Gillespie lead Fall Revival, Oct. 15-17th. Thunder
Ridge bought a message in song on Oct. 31st. Our youth pastor,
Steven Robinson resigned. We are having our Holiday meal on
Nov. 14. Children and Adults are working on their Christmas
plays. Youth are going to deliver our Thanksgiving Food Baskets
on Nov. 20, 2010.
MEANS-No Report
MT. OLIVE-No Report
NEW HOPE-Changed visitation from Saturday to Thursday
night. Celebrated Pastor Appreciation Day. Preparation for
Christmas Music.
NORTHSIDE-No Report
PANOLA-We had a good turnout for our Thursday night out.
Special Thanksgiving Service on Nov. 21st. Plans for a
community invite. Christmas Dinner on Dec. 12th.
POWELLS VALLEY–We had a good crowd, good fellowship,
preaching and singing at our Homecoming on the 10th. We had
over 200 participants at our “Trunk or Treat” on the 28th. We fed
226 people during our food ministry on the 30th. Delivered towels,
wash cloths, and bed sheets to Crossroads Treatment Center for
the boys at Sunshine Children’s Home. We enjoyed our 5th
Sunday Hymn Sing on the 31st. We will be delivering
Thanksgiving meals to our Community on Thanksgiving. Food
Baskets will be delivered on Dec 18th. Christmas play is
scheduled for Sunday night Dec. 19th. Candlelight Service is
planned for Dec. 22nd. We are collecting personal items for
individual baskets to be given to the boys at Elizabethtown
Children’s Home for Christmas.

The disaster emergency relief

committee needs volunteers.
The vision for the committee is: An As you celebrate the birth of

NEWS & UPCOMING EVENTS
from our CHURCHES - Oct, 2010

PROVIDENCE, C.C.– Hosted the “Tribute Quartet”. Very enjoy-

able evening.
PROVIDENCE, E.C.-Had a wonderful Harvest Festival with
beautiful weather. Plans are being made for a Christmas Celebra-
tion at Providence we are excited about the many activities
planned for the Christmas Season. We have a Youth Christmas
Play with many adults participating. A Cantata being planned by
the Choir. We hope to be able to give back to the community this
year. We ask you to please be in prayer for our Pastor and his fam-
ily as his Mother is in the last stages of Alzheimer’s and it has
been very hard on his Dad, brothers and our pastor. As many of
you know this disease is very difficult on the family. Please lift
them up in your prayer time.
REID VILLAGE-We had a Weiner Roast Fri. night Oct. 8th. We
observed World Hunger Day Oct. 10th. Collected Food Donations
for our Food Pantry. The Choir has started practicing the
Christmas Music. We are planning to go Christmas Caroling. One
place we will be going is Windsor Care Nursing Home.
SALEM-Members of the Church made over 30 dozen cookies for
Irvine Nursing Home Employees. Enjoyed another talent night.
Last picnic of the season (chili supper) was well attended, the chil-
dren enjoyed the special activities. Looking forward to Revival
and all the activities in December.
SPEARS MILL–We had 7 people saved and baptized the last 3
weeks. Our Children Christmas Program will be Dec. 5th, at
7pm, our Adult Cantata will be Dec 12th, at 7pm.
SPRING STREET-Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner Dec. 5.
2010. Preparation for the Christmas program underway.
THOMAS-Thanksgiving Dinner scheduled Nov 21st. Christ-
mas program scheduled Dec. 19th.
VALLEY VIEW–No Report
WM. MEMORIAL– We had a wonderful Homecoming day.
The children had a movie night during Oct.
