Common Core State Standards:

text, video, multimedia) to present a particular topic or idea.
Objective (Explicit):
 SWBAT identify what a gender role is by analyzing Disney songs and written poems.
Evidence of Mastery (Measurable):
 Include a copy of the lesson assessment.
 Provide exemplar student responses with the level of detail you expect to see.
 Assign value to each portion of the response

Students will come up with one solution as to how we as a society can take a step towards not having a closed mindset of what roles men and women
should have.
Sub-Objectives, SWBAT (Sequenced from basic to complex)
 How will you review past learning and make connections to previous lessons?
 What skills and content are needed to ultimately master this lesson objective?
 How is this objective relative to students, their lives, and/or the real world?

I will ask students about the pressure and expectations they feel they have as students and children. Answers could be as simple as having to dress
in the latest fashions and get as deep as having to maintain a certain body weight due to what society and media has made them believe they should
be.
