OSGA Communications Presentation Creation

Purpose & Objective: Collaborate with the communications director to create an educational
platform that student leader can utilize concerning media and communications.

Finished Product: Attended multiple meetings with the communications director to create an
interactive platform for student government presidents to utilize back on their campuses. This
program will educate these student leaders on the principles of communications and why it is
essential to advertise to a direct target audience.

Our first draft of the program involved three main points: advertisement, retention and progress.
However, through engaging conversation, we developed our final draft which highlights
communication and media skills throughout an SGA and what student leaders can do to
implement various media projects for advertisement purposes. Along with this program creation,
we created a survey to give to these student leaders regarding OSGA’s implementation of media.
With this information, we will compile data analytics to better our communications with the
universities and colleges throughout the state of Oklahoma.

We created 15 questions to ask our participants. Once each participant fulfills this survey, we
will be able to extract data from this material that will allow us to advance our communication
output to these universities and colleges.

Advertising Graphic for Presidential Retreat

Purpose & Objective: To create a flyer that promotes the upcoming event in the later part of
September. This flyer should highlight all participating universities and colleges that will be
included in the event.

Media Legislation for Publication

Purpose & Objective: Write a legislation resolution or bill that aids the media environment. This
legislation piece will be published as a collective along with the legislation of other board
members. This legislation will go forward to be voted on at the Fall Congress of 2019. If passed,
it will go forward as a recommendation to the State Regents for Higher Education.

Mock Legislation for Publication

Purpose & Objective: Write a legislation resolution or bill that aids a learning environment. This
legislation piece will be published as a collective along with the legislation of other board
members to the participating schools at the Presidential retreat. This mock resolution is intended
for learning purposes and to outline the general construct of writing a piece of legislation.
