Dear Friends,
Africa is changing rapidly, but the carnage that has been left behind from decades of abuse, violence
and war remains imprinted on hundreds of thousands of children, women and men across the great
continent. International Christian Ministries believes a new Africa will rise out of the ashes and
wounds of these who have been touched by the Master’s hand. They will speak the message of their
new hope because they have experienced it first hand through the love of Jesus. I’d like to share a
testimony of life change from a recent ICM conference.

“Do I have to forgive the people who murdered my husband?” “How can I forget the pain and trauma
I feel over the rape, murder and dismemberment of my family?” Such were the honest questions that
arose from the conference at Mt Elgon that turned out to be more than four times as large as we
planned! We expected 100 and over 400 came. We had to adjust our plan. Space was limited and
food ran out, but it was at that point that God ran in! The real need was not food and space. It was
inner healing through the touch of the Great Physician Jesus. They came looking for answers, help and
healing. Many left with a new hope that Jesus is the answer to their greatest needs.

The Hope of Africa is not another wonderful economic plan or a billion dollars to address the unending
difficulties. It is Jesus. Jesus alone can and will bring a healing touch on a long abused and hurt
people. From that touch will emerge a church that understands what it means to be healed from the
inside out by the Savior who is able to meet our every need.

International Christian Ministries is committed to training and equipping African leaders with the
knowledge, skills and spiritual sensitivity to address African problems with God’s solutions. We have been
doing it for nearly 25 years. This Thanksgiving we invite you to join us in giving thanks for the healing that
is taking place in the hearts of the African people and for the growing move of God across the land. Then
pray for ICM that we would be faithful to our calling of serving the Church by ongoing discipleship and
equipping its leaders, that they will be able to hear the Lord and speak His word faithfully!
