Principle 1.

Everything must have a Purpose

The Coco Mountain Resort established appropriate relationships between the various parts

of the recreational complex. The natural elements consists of land, water and plants. The resort is

surrounded by Mountain, river and trees. The use areas are parking lot that can accommodate 6 –

10 cars, accessible public roads and inside the resort there are different kinds of maintenance yards

like flower and herbal garden. The major structures of the resort are the Pavilion, restobar and air-

conditioned accommodations. It has a drainage that flows directly to the river, it also has a

complete electrical and other utilities such as shower rooms, and comfort rooms, light, air

conditioning units and metal fences can be found around the resort high enough to secure the

surroundings. There are also lots of benches, it has proper signages. There are hospitable

employees and guests or customers of different nationalities. The forces of nature there is no need

to worry because the place is ready and safe.

Principle 2. Design must be for people

The Coco Mountain resort used advanced technology and facilities not like the other resort

to meet the needs and demands of the millennial vibe or what they call trend. The structure of Coco

Mountain has a lot of details from the walls, colors and furniture’s. The resort has a lot of

handmade furniture’s and design from colourful emoji’s and wooden chairs and tables. The people

involved in the resort design is a very reliable designer and architect, because they caught the

attention of the people. They met the expectations and what the owner wanted to see. They placed

the facilities properly where the visitors/tourists can see the view of the environment and the

mountains, and made the place very recreational and in a peace vibe. The maintenance staffs are
the one who are in-charge of maintaining the facilities and amenities clean. And also they are

responsible to check and keep the tools and equipment’s in good working condition.

Principle 6. Satisfy Technical Requirements

The resort has a pavilion that can accommodate up to 100pax, if there is no event the hall

will become a restaurant to maximize the area. When a storm comes the resort is ready for the

safety not only the for the employees but also for the customers. The place of the resort is not

easily flooded because the land is evaluated and has a drainage, when the weather is sunny it’s not

too hot because there are a lot of trees that gives fresh air. The furnitures like tables and chairs.

The guess can feel comfortable and relaxing because its size and height are enough for them.

Principle 7. Meet Needs for Lowest Possible Cost

The Coco Mountain Resort did not use all the appropriate structure materials but the quality

of each functions and satisfaction of the customers but also considered the cost of each material

that they’ve used to build the resort. The type of land that they used is appropriate plant material

like the soil is light, the moisture is also light it can handle extreme temperature. The life span of

land can last long enough and plants can grow well.

Principle 8. Provide for Supervision ease


The Coco Mountain Resort is one of the new resorts in Montalban, Rizal so that this

underdeveloped but the customers are satisfied to the rate or price that they paid. The resort also

has enough space top-grade and develop to its full potential.
