Corruption Case in the Former District of Seruyan,

Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) uncovered corruption by the

former Seruyan Regent, Darwan Ali, regarding the port construction project. The project is
thought to have caused state financial losses of up to tens of billions of rupiah.

"In this case, it is alleged that the state's financial loss was around Rp. 20.84 billion," said
KPK's Public Relations Commissioner Febri Diansyah in a press conference at the KPK,
Jalan Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday (10/14/2019).

Seruyan is a district in Central Kalimantan led by Darwan in two periods, 2003-2008 and
2008-2013. Meanwhile, the port development project that was allegedly corrupted by Darwan
was recorded in 2007-2012, namely the procurement of the construction of the Gulf Sea
Port
Segintung Seruyan Regency. In the process the KPK suspected that there were many
irregularities.

Febri said that Darwan allegedly arranged for the project auction process to be won by PT
Swa Karya Jaya (SKJ). The director of the company was allegedly the KPK as a close friend
of Darwan who supported him when he ran for regional head.

Back to the case. The final estimated project cost (HPS) for the project is IDR
112,750,000,000 with a contract value of IDR 112,736,000,000. However, when 4 months
were running, the contract value was increased to Rp 127,411,481,000 or an increase of
13.02 percent.

"This addendum exceeds the provisions of Perpres 54 of 2010 concerning Procurement of

Goods and Services which states that the maximum increase in employment is 10 percent,"
said Febri.
In addition, the KPK also suspected that Darwan received money through his son from PT
SKJ in a number of times. The total revenue was called Febri around Rp. 687,500,000.

For his actions, Darwan is alleged to have violated Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of
Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of
Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

Conclusion for this Article :

The regional head should give a good example to the community and carry out his
mandate as a regional head that has been trusted by the community. Instead of corrupting to
enrich themselves we are moving quickly and dismantling this cas otherwise the state will
continue to suffer losses due to the procurement of this project. In my opinion, the
punishment must be emphasized with fines in excess of money corrupted in this way, which
will provide a different effect for those who want to corrupt state money.

310 kilograms of marijuana cases weighing 310 kilograms. In this case, the police arrested

The arrest was made in Aceh, Sunday, November 3, 2019, at around 23:00 West Indonesian

Directorate, Ahmad Fanani.

Amin in front of BRI Bank, Jalan Prof. Majid Ibrahim, Sigli City District, Aceh Pidie
District," Fanani said in a written statement, Jakarta, Friday, November 8, 2019.

22:00 WIB.

Conclusion for this article :

Drugs are very dangereous if abused. Many young indonesian have been affected and even
died from drugs . The action of the police officers are good because they are floating in a case
that previously spread to the dealer. Besides this the shots fired by the officers were not
without procedure but the perpetrators tried to fight and escape. In my opinion the goverment
must be even more strict in combating drugs because there is a target for young people and
for the airport it is better to be sentenced to death because for me it is better to be sentenced
to death because for me it is better to die than one thousand people.
