Subject: Proposal for the Study of VR Technology

Purpose

This proposal is asking for permission to research and determine the usefulness
and profitable of investing time and money into Virtual Reality development.

Introduction

The Virtual Reality market is a new and currently untapped by our company. Both
in revenue as well as potential innovation. The Virtual Reality market, while
smaller currently, seems to behave independently to the rest of the Video Games
market. This has created a secondary market to be profited from

There is currently no VR research or development being at our company.

Primarily, most of the benefits will go towards an increase in profits and overall
more funds for additional research. Secondarily, the research discovered, and
implemented by our company will open up new job positions for further
development.
Proposed Tasks

Task 1: Research market data.

The most important thing to look at when studying a new technology is

how well it is doing on the market. Is the VR market growing? Is the VR
market a large enough share of the games market to justify investment?
These are the kinds of questions that must be answered before anything
else.

Task 2: Research individual company expenses versus profit on VR projects.

Next will be to determine what individual companies have done in VR

before. What successes have they had? What failures have they had?

Task 3: Secondary Research VR survey

Finally we will have to test VR for ourselves and determine its appeal first
hand. We will test popular VR titles to see personally what works and what
does not in virtual reality.

see the potential in Virtual Reality and wish to research how it can be used to help
increase development as well as profitability for the company.

David Alvarez, Research Analyst: Pursuing academic studies in the engineering

field. He has used VR technology in the past and is curious how this technology
can be used in other areas.

Matt McAllister, Project Manager: He used and is fairly interested in VR before,

as well as worked with VR development before.

Jesus A. Gomez, Material Coordinator: Pursuing a major in computer science

and in business and marketing. He have never used VR before, but is very
