WELCOME ADDRESS
I am Shane and I will be your emcee for this event. We thank you all for gracing this joyful
occasion especially to those who have traveled many miles just to be with us. In behalf of
___________ and ___________ and their parents, I would like to express their heartfelt
gratitude for your presence at this memorable occasion. It is indeed a pleasure to have you all
today.
At this point, let us now witness the parade of the wedding entourage. Excited na ba kayong
makita ang bagong kasal? They are already lined up at the entrance ball. But first, let’s
welcome with great delight...
To all this KIDS, I must say GOOD JOB!!!! Round of applause please!
SECONDARY SPONSORS
CANDLE SPONSORS (who lighted the flame of God and brighten the couple’s love)
VEIL SPONSORS (who clothed the newlyweds as one with the mantle of God’s love)
CORD SPONSORS (who strengthened the union and bound the pair together)
We saw the fresh and young, let’s now go to the people who are young at heart and spirit, the
very gracious and generous PRINCIPAL SPONSORS. Let me introduce them one by one…
starting off with…
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF PARENTS
One of the parents’ dreams is to see the wedding of their children. I am sure our couple’s
parents are equally excited as them. Let us now recognize these very special people in the
hearts of the newlyweds.
GROOMS’S PARENTS:
BRIDE’S PARENTS:
AVP – SLIDESHOW
Mayroong inihandang slideshow presentation dito where we can see the evolution of
_____________ and _____________’s love affair. (trivia about their love story)
And now the big moment, ladies and gentlemen, our groom and bride Mr. _________ and
Mrs. ______________! As for the groom, look at him! Machong-macho as always. And for the
bride, doesn’t she look beautiful? She’s been practicing her bouquet-throwing and hopes to
give a good account of herself when the moment comes. Ladies and gentlemen, a big hand
for Mr. & Mrs. ___________________. (wide applause)
Thank you very much. Truly, this event will be a celebration of love, a feast of two hearts who
vowed to stay forever no matter what.
OPENING PRAYER
To officially start, let us all stand for the opening prayer to be led by __________.
Father, you have made the bond of marriage a holy mystery, a symbol of Christ's love for his
Church. Hear our prayers for ___________ and _____________. With faith in you and in
each other they pledge their love today. May their lives always bear witness to the reality of
that love. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
This time, let’s see them hold those two doves; please take them out of the cage. Then, they
will make those lovely dove kiss each other. PICTURE!!!
White doves are a symbol of joy, and since a wedding is a joyous occasion, opening the bird's
cage so that they can fly freely, or using photos of doves in the day's decor is definitely
appropriate. Superstition also suggests that couples who see a pair of doves on their wedding
day will have a blessed marriage, which is a wonderful sentiment for the new couple to keep
in mind when starting a new life together.
CAKE CUTTING
At this point, I hope everyone’s attention is in the couple as they do the cake cutting tradition.
Bakit may ganitong eksena ‘pag may kasal? Well, ayon sa aking research, the cake cutting
symbolizes the couple's unity, their shared future, and their life together as one.
WINE TOAST
This time, let’s fill our glasses with any drink that we could get and join the best man, Mr.
______________ for the symbolic wine toast.
BOUQUET CEREMONY
Okay now let us all have some fun and it's time for the bouquet ceremony. All the single
ladies please come on down. It is said that whoever will catch the bouquet will soon be the
next bride.
Ok let's give a hand to Miss ______. Please have a seat beside the bride and in a moment
we shall find your match in the garter toss.
RETRIEVAL OF GARTER AND GARTER TOSS
Before we go with the garter toss, the groom will retrieve the garter/elastic from his bride. So
may we request __________ and ____________ to please come on the center stage and do
the garter retrieval ritual.
(A chair is brought onstage for the bride to sit, while groom kneels down at the bride's feet
ready to retrieve the garter)
Ladies and gentlemen, the groom will now retrieve the garter from the bride.
There you have it ladies and gentlemen; the groom was finally able to retrieve the garter. Let
us give him a big hand.
Okay, it is now the gentlemen's turn and we will now do the garter toss. May I now request all
the single men to come forward for the garter toss. Please take note the single man who
catches the garter will be the person who will put it on to the lucky lady a while back.
(Emcee motions and waits for all single men to come forward.)
Gentlemen please take your place behind the groom and be ready to catch the garter. So is
everyone ready? At the count of three, the groom will throw the garter and we request the
audience to participate in the countdown.
MATCH-MAKING RITUALS
May I request for the gentleman who now have in his possession the garter. Sir please come
forward and take your place beside the lady who has the bouquet.
Thank you Mr. _____. Friends Let's give the him a big hand.
Now that we have already found the perfect match- the next bride and groom-to-be in the
future, it's time for another ritual. The gentleman who got the garter will put it on the lady’s leg.
At this point, we would like to request Ms. ___ to please have a seat while Mr. ____ will put
on the garter. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. ____ will now put on the garter on Ms. ____.
(Interview the chosen couple if they are singles).
There you have it ladies and gentlemen, our new lovely pair and if it would not be too much to
ask, we would like the gentleman to imitate what the groom will do to his bride.
(The groom will kiss the bride and emcee waits for the gentleman to give the lady a kiss and
thanks the pair after.)
Thank you Mr. ____ and Ms. _______. Let us give them both a big hand.
At this point, we request that both of you to remain onstage for the picture taking. The
newlyweds will now pose with our lovely new pair.
(Emcee stands aside as photographers take pictures of the pair with the newlyweds.)
Again, Thank you Mr. and Mrs. ______________ for your participation, and you may now
return to your seats.
PICTORIAL / BUFFET
Well, I guess the food is now ready and early _________ will commence shortly. At this point
to maintain order, I’ll be calling your table number and the people from that table are going to
the location of the couple for pictorial. (get the personalities in each table)
Today is indeed a special day and will forever be etched in the memory of our beloved
couple. For today marks the beginning of their new life together. From this day forward, they
shall be one, and on this joyful beginning, it could be more fitting to celebrate on their first
dance. The first dance is the symbol of the consummation of their wedding vows. This dance
is the wedding couples' first cooperative engagement and joint endeavor. Ladies and
gentlemen, it is once again my privilege to present to you Mr. and Mrs. __________________
on their first dance.
Money dance has been a traditional wedding practice among Filipinos. Here are the
instructions… the guests will come forward to hang their money or envelopes on the
newlyweds. Then, male guests will dance with the bride and so as female guests will dance
with the groom even just for seconds, so others are given a chance to dance with the couple.
So, without any further ado, let’s start. Let me call on the newlyweds to come forward, Mr. and
Mrs. _______________.

Now, before we end. Let’s hear some well-wishers give their message to the newlyweds.
