ACKS010 THERMAL
PRINTER INSTALLATION

The following procedure describes how to perform the installation of the printer included in the
accessory kit ACKS010 provided by TEXA S.p.A. on a Konfort series 700 unit.

WARNING: This operation has to be performed with the Konfort unit switched off.

WARNING: The content of the ACKS010 kit is conventionally thought to allow the
connection of the thermal printer on any Konfort machine, including the machines
belonging to the Konfort 600 series. In particular, the cables included in the
ACKS010 kit have to be used only for the printer installation in the Konfort 600
series.
In case the printer installation will be performed on a Konfort 700 series unit, all the
connection cables will be already available inside the A/C machine.

ACKS010 Thermal Printer Installation Procedure

In order to perform the installation of the thermal printer on a Konfort 700 series unit, the
following operations have to be performed:

Remove, with the help of a thin flat screw driver, the plastic cover which is closing the seat
for the thermal printer on the top panel of the Konfort 700 series unit:

Remove, with the help of a cross screw driver, the plastic band which blocks the
connection cables for the printer to the bottom part of the plastic cover:

By keeping the printer upside down, connect the cable with the larger connector (power
supply) to the first plug from the right of the printer connection board:

Connect the cable with the smaller connector (serial connection) to the fourth plug from
the right of the printer connection board:

Remove, with the help of a cross screw driver, the two screws of which block the plastic
frame of the printer seat to the top panel of the Konfort unit:

Insert the printer inside its location on the top panel of the Konfort 700 unit, by seating it
over the plastic frame. Open the paper housing on the printer, then fix the printer to the
top panel by using the two screws previously removed from the frame. Finally, put the
paper roll inside the printer and close the housing:

When the screws will be locked, ensure that the paper roll will be able to move inside the
housing of the printer. If not, loosen slightly the two screws.

NOTICE 1: The printer is plug and play on the Konfort 700 series unit, therefore no
software settings will be required. The printer will start to print immediately once
the Konfort unit will be started-up.

NOTICE 2: We recommend to use only the thermal paper rolls supplied by TEXA
(spare part no. 81M00058).
