PRESENTATION:
When you listen to advertisements, you will
discover that most try to shape your views by
emphasizing certain unimportant points while
overlooking the more important ones.

Facts that are systematically and deliberately


distorted are called propaganda.

Propaganda appeals to emotion rather than


reason. It often emphasizes the good points of
what it espouses and twists facts to give the
wrong impression. Sometimes, to make you
accept ideas without examining the evidence
vague general terms are used.

One way to avoid being a victim of


propaganda is to recognize the common
propaganda devices.
