This project “College Information Management System” provides us a simple

interface for maintainance of student information. it can be used by educational
institutes or college to maintain the record of students easily. Achieving this objective
is difficult using a manual system as the information is scattered, can be redundant
and collecting relevant information may be very time consuming. All these problems
are solved using this project.

Throughout the project the focus has been on presenting information in an easy and
intelligible manner. The project is very useful for those who want to know about
College Information Management Systems and want to develop software websites
based on the same concept.

The project provides facilities like online registration and profile creation of students
thus reducing paperwork and automating the record generation process in an
educational institution.

and this is our final year project so the topis selection of college management
system is taken by us after very long discussion with our seniors and friends. And

Introduction

1.1 Introduction

The “College Management System” has been develop to override the problems
prevailing in the practicing manual system. this software is supported to eliminate
and in some cases reduce the hardship faced by this existing system. Moreover this
system designed for the particular need of the company to carry out operations in a
smooth and effective manner.

This system is to allow the administrator of any organization to edit and find out the
personal details of a student and allows the student to keep up to date his profile. It’ll
also facilitates keeping all the records of student such as their id, name, mailing
address, phone number, DOB etc. so all the information about a student will be
available in a few seconds. The main purpose of this project is to illustrate the
requirement of this project College Information Management System and is intended
to help any organization to maintain and manage personal data.

It is a comprehensive project developed from the ground up to full fill the needs of
college as they guide their students. This education edge integrated information
management system connects daily operation in the college environment ranging
from registration to finance, faculty and library. this reduce data error and ensure
that information is always up-to-date throughout the college.

1.2 Objective

The main objective of the project on College Management System is to manage the
details of college, course, batch, faculty, students. It manages all the information about
college, exam, student, college. The project is totally built at administrative end and thus
only administrator is guaranteed the access. The purpose of the project is to build an
application program to reduce the manual work for managing the college, course, exam,
batch. It tracks all the details about the Batch, Faculty, Students.
1.3 Scope

 Login to the system through the first page of the application.

 Change the password after logging into the system.

 View/change his/her details.

 Can get help through the help option to view different features of the system.

 Students can give feedback on college/staff/any other student. An admin login should be
present who can read as well as remove any uploads.
