Sea Creatures

Come along, come with me,

Take a dive in the deep blue sea.
Put on your gear, let's explore
All the way to the ocean floor!

See that snail wrapped in curls?

Look! An oyster wearing pearls!
Watch the octopus oh so dark,
But don't you dare to pet the shark!

Dive on down, seaward bound,

Motion in the ocean is all around!
Dive on down, seaward bound.
Motion in the ocean is all around.

Now we're very far below,

The lantern fish are all aglow.
Is that a tiny shock you feel?
You just met an electric eel!

Giant blue whales start to stir,

Bigger than dinosaurs ever were!
Wave good-bye to the squid and sponge,
This is the end of our deep-sea plunge!

Dive on down, seaward bound,

Motion in the ocean is all around!
Dive on down, seaward bound.
Motion in the ocean is all around.

Everyone: We are marine animals. We live in the

sea which is also called the ocean. The ocean’s water is
very salty.

Orca: I am an Orca. I am also called a killer

whale. I eat sea lions, walruses, and even
other whales. Did you know that I am really
a very large dolphin?

Shark: I am a shark. I am a fierce, ferocious fish. I

have been around since before the dinosaurs.
When I lose a tooth, another grows in its
place! Isn’t that cool?

Jelly: I used to be called a jellyfish. My name was

changed to jelly. I can sting you with my
tentacles.
Don’t ever step on me!

Spider Crab: I am a Spider Crab. I look scary. My

body is hard and round. I like to eat
dead flesh. Dead Sea stars and
mollusks are my favorite. Some people
like to eat my legs. But, you have to
catch me first!

Lobster: I am a lobster. My blood is not red, it is

clear. If I lose a leg, claw, or antennae it’s
no big deal. I just grow another one. Bet
you can’t do that!

I can camouflage myself for protection.
Pretty neat, don’t you think?

Octopus: I am an octopus. I have eight long legs. I

have suckers underneath my legs. I

enemies.

Moray Eel: I am a moray eel. I like to live among

the rocks because I am sneaky. I cannot
see very well but I have a good sniffer.
There is green slime usually covering
my skin. Gross!

down? Can you?

Sea Turtle: I am a female sea turtle. I am an air-

breathing reptile. I don’t have teeth, I
have a beak instead. I come up to the
