INTRODUCTION
Dual diagnosis or known as co-occurng
disorders is the emergence of severe
mental disorders in drug users.
Individuals experience severe mental
disorders or schizophrenia
simultaneously for years using drugs
(Sadock, 2010)
The prevalence is high, approximately
40% of drug addicts also experience
mental disorders. About 90% of
people with opioid dependence have
additional psychiatric disorders.
Conversely about 20% of people with
mental disorders addicted to drugs.
Both of these conditions must be
treated in order to achieve a recovery
(Benny, 2017)
According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental
Disorders (DSM –IV-TR) there are several disorders related to
opioid such as delusions, hallucinations, mood disorders, sexual
dysfunction and sleep disorders. When someone use opioid four
couple of minutes, they will experience psychological changes or
maladaptive behavior in the form of euphoria, dysphoria,
agitation, psychomotor retardation, impaired value, or social
function and disturbed occupation as well.

Schizophrenia is a varied clinical
syndrome, and has destructive
effects of psychopathology

emotions, perceptions and other
aspects of behavior.

drugs from plants or not plants both synthetic and semi-synthetic causing a decrease or changing
