SUPERIOR COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA CRIMINAL DIVISION UNITED STATES VS GRIMES, ROBERT STEPHEN CCN #: 19210230 Arrest Number: 051936406 ‘SITY CHAPEL HALL, 800 FLORIDA The event occurred on 11/24/2019 at approximately 02:53 at GALLAUDET UNIV AVENUE NE, WASHINGTON, DC 20002 BWC ACTIVATED ‘The following event occurred on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at approximately 0253 hours in PSA #501. Officer J. Collier (5460) & Officer D. Levy (2574) were working the midnight tour of duty and utilizing callsign 5012. Both officers were wearing full un ‘operating a marked scout car. ‘On November 24 2019 at approximately 0253 hours Officer J. Collier and Officer D. Levy received a call for a Burglary at 800 Florida Ave Ne DC. Upon Arrival W-1 and W-2 who are both Gallaudet Campus Police had D-1 ( ROBERT STEPHEN GRIMES DOB-12/03/1991) confirmed via DC drivers license. Detained on the 3rd floor of the Dawes Building at 800 Florida Ave Ne DC W-1 reported while patrolling Gallaudet University W-1 heard glass breaking on the third floor of the Dawes Building which isa secured building and at the time should have no one inside the building. W-1 and W-2 entered the Dawes building to investigate and found D-1 on the third floor. W-1 reports once D-1 saw W-1 and W-2. D-I said several times that he was sorry and put his hands behind his back. At that moment W-2 placed handeuffs on D-1. D-1 ‘had injuries to both hands his right wrist, right shoulder, and his abdomen, D-1 also did not have a shirt on, Upon further investigation a window with the glass broken inward was discovered on the first floor of the Dawes Building. Which is believed to be how D-1 entered the Daves building. Additional canvasing of the building revealed ‘a bloody shirt in the second floor bathroom of the Dawes building. Which is believed to be D-1 shirt. Additionally the listed property was discovered destroyed inside the Dawes Building which is believed to be destroyed by D-1. D-1 was highly intoxicated and reported that he did not know what happened or how he got to the location. D-1 was placed under arrest for Burglary & Destruetion of Property D-1 was transported Washington Hospital Center for medical treatment and then to the Fifth District station for processing.
