Drill & Practice Software Technology Plan

Mission Statement:

Drill & practice software implication is needed in my school because: our students need a way to

work on problems and examples in order to get instant feedback and they also need a way to

learn new content and review this content. Drill & practice software allows for these to be

accomplished successfully and that is my plan to implicate this in my school by 2021.

Goals & Objectives:

One of the main objectives to this software is the instant feedback that it gives students, this

gives the students the ability to nature the learning process by working on things they are failing

in. It saves teachers time by having the software grade for them, it motivates students to do the

work and the programs are smart phone friendly so they can be used anywhere. My goals for the

product are to motivate the students to learn and to help them succeed in learning for the future.

Existing Resources:

My school has several items that allow this software to be used these include computers and the

parthenin board.

New Resources:
The school needs tablets for them to use the application to its full extent. The school needs to

supply all these tools that are listed above and allowing for the website called Quizlet to be

attainable and downloading other apps like flashcards deluxe, A+ Math, Chemistry Drill and

Practice Tutorials, Study Stack, and Math Board.

Training:

There are training tutorials online for teachers to review before demonstrating how the students

will use the drill & practice software.

Maintenance:

Maintaining this software involves making sure that tablets and computers are virus free and are

in working order for the student or teacher to use accordingly. It is important that the school

district make sure that these tools are in working order so the students can advance in their

academics.

Costs & Functioning:

Some of the applications to put on the devices only cost 5 dollars per tablet, some of the websites

are free to use to a certain extent but others can range to 5-29 dollars. If the whole school only

gets the tablet application and say the school has about 400 kids the cost would be 2,000 dollars.

For the application that ranges for 5-29 dollars the application can be bought by the parents or

the teacher. The 29 dollar one allows for the teacher to demonstrate a lesson for their students

that has drill & practice software. If the school provided this and there are 40 teachers, then that

will be another 1,160 dollars. Both attributes would be 3,160 dollars in all. This is just for the

software itself there are other costs to think of. The tablets can range from 200-500 dollars. If the

school decides to get the lowest costing tablet for half of the population of the school it would
come to about 40,000 dollars, including the software that would be 43,160. Schools can raise

money and the staff can apply for funding from the school district.

Assessment:

With the drill & practice software it gives a report on how much the software is improving the

minds of the students. By this you can have solid evidence that the students are improving.
