For me the good contribution during the Spanish colonized the phil.

It is started in the
year 1521 Ferdinand Magellan search for the route of spice island and also Magellan planted a
cross on the summit of hill overlooking the sea and claimed possession of the islands and named
them archipelago of saints Lazarus on march 31, 1521 in Limasawa island, Southern Leyte. And
after of that thing that Magellan planted of that place in Limasawa island. Magellan also
introduced Christianity to Rajah Humabon and Datu Zula of Sugbo (Cebu) It is being accepted
and embrace by the natives After the native accepting the Christianity they wanted to be baptized
into catholic faith and taking the Christian names Carlos and Juana and also they presented the
Santo Niño to the newly baptized queen Juana as a symbol of the alliance, and her newly was
baptized Husband king Carlo’s. After of that baptizing that Magellan represented, Lapu-lapu the
ruler of Mactan did not, in determination in Converting them to Catholicism it is because
Magellan are involved in the political rivalries between the natives and took part in a battle.
After of the battle of Mactan Magellan was killed by the troops of Lapu-lapu, and Lapu-
lapu doesn't want to give the body of Magellan because he wanted to mark it a souvenir. and
after that King Charles I Decided that Spain should Conquer the phil. and 5 subsequent
expeditions were sent to the island. Roy Lopez de Villalobos Followed the route taken by
Magellan and reached Mindanao on February 2 ,1543 and he established a colony in Sarangani
but it could not stay long due to shortage in food supply, and he left the island and landed to
tidore in Moluccas and where captured by Portuguese, Villabos Was named the island of Leyte
and Samar as Islas Filipinas in honor of King Charles son, Prince Philip. Since none of the
expedition after Magellan succeeded in taking over the island, King Charles I stopped sending
colonizers. Miguel Lopez de Legaspi was travel on Bohol it is because he wanted to be made a
Blood compact with the chieftain, Datu Sikatuna as a sign of friendship and he also founded the
first Spanish settlements, naming it villa del centesimo nombre de Jesus (Town of the most holy
name of Jesus) and villa de san Miguel. and Local king rajah tupas, represented later on to the
Spaniards leading to the establishment of the "Treaty of Cebu" While they searching the
survivors, Juan Camus found a statue of the child Jesus still intact.
Upon Verification it was the same Sto Niño that was given by Magellan to Reyna hara
amihan in 1521. and also Legaspi ordered to construction of church called san Augustin Church
that can be benefiting of all natives and later they renamed it The basilica minored del Santo
Nino.this is the first roman catholic church in the Philippines by rev. father Andres de urbanite
Marked the beginning of roman catholic in the Philippines. The Santo Niño venerated the church
since the time of Legaspi. It is the center of intense devotion and religious Pilgrimages
throughout the Visayas. the Spanish, Mexico Soldiers and laborers arrived in Cebu under orders
of the Spanish king. they also established a city and build the port of puerza de san Pedro on
1567,2100. it became their outpost for trade and protection from hostile natives. n 1569, martin
de goiti, left in Cebu and began exploring the northern regions of the Visayas and they found the
island of Panay and Mindoro where they encountered Chinese sea-traders in the area.
There's a lot of good Contribution that Spaniard given into phil. even thou the Spaniard
Colonized into Philippines they've a lot of Good work and Constructioning that they've made. a
lot of establishment that their Build. and also Legaspi Expedition when they arrive in manila, His
expedition renamed Luzon Nuevo castilla. Legaspi then Made Manila the capital of the
Philippines and simplified its spelling to MANILA. (MANILA CAPITAL DELAS ISLAS
PHILIPINAS) and also Legaspi ordered the construction of Walled city of intramurals and
Proclaimed it as the seat of government of the colony and the capital of the islands in 1571. in
1574, Manila was bestowed the title: insigne y siempre Leal Ciudad de Espino Distinguish and
ever loyal city of Spain by king Philip II of Spain. And also why the 3G Colonized it is because
there is a lot of meaning that we can benefits in our whole life. first GOD, the conversion of
natives to Christianity and GOLD accumulation of Gold or wealth, And lastly the Glory,
