III. Procedure
A. Preparatory Activities
1. Prayer: Recite Surah Al-Fatihah
2. Drill
“And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short,
good and bad, etc.)” (an Naba’ 8)

“And Almighty Allah has made you for your wives of your own kind,
and has bestowed on you good provision. Do they then believe in false
deities and deny the favour of Allah)

3. Review – conduct a review on the previous lesson

a. Why do Muslims need to go to Makkah for it?
b. Why do Muslims nurture the desire to fulfil this obligation?
c. Give at least three conditions of Hajj?

4. Motivation: Singing an Islamic song with the title “Islam is a Way of Life”

B. Developmental Lesson
1. Activity/Presentation
a. Ask the pupils to listen carefully onto the lesson which is
“The Categories of Islam”
b. The Ustadz will present the pictures which show Muslims
performing worship and doing good deeds.
(And will ask the pupils after they see it).
i. What can you see about the pictures?
ii. What do you understand about Muslim?
iii. What do you understand about a muslim who could not
obey the commandments of Almighty Allah? Is he/she
considered a muslim?
iv. Are you considered yourself to be called as muslim even
you do not good deeds?
 c. The Ustadz will present the lesson through laptop and projector
d. Select among the pupils who read the lesson which is
“The Categories of Islam
e. Read and explain the categories of Islam on page 30 and 31.
f. Give an importance about worshipping and doing good deeds
together with the firm belief in Almighty Allah
2. Analysis/Discussion
a. Why Almighty Allah oblige us to worship Him and do good deeds?
b. Why do Muslims perform prayer five times a day?
c. How do you explain about belief in Almighty Allah?
d. How do you explain about Ihsan?
C. Generalization
Recognizing the five pillars of Islam, six pillars of belief, and Al Ihsan
D. Application/Fixing Skills/Practice
Divide the class into groups. Ask each group to write a reflection about the lesson
explained and present it at the front.
