Line With in a Line

From the Pardoner’s Tale, the only quote that would really comes up into your mind is the “The
Love of money is the root of all evil”. Pardoner’s Tale primary focus is all about the pardoner
often preaches about how money is the root of all evil in our society that we live in today.
Basically, from what I have noticed in our society today people think more on the valuable things
that can have a big impact at their life like for example is the money or precious metals or
luxurious products. It can make a person to think about greed and also greed really is in the root
of all evil because of the reason that people nowadays think about their wants in their life. The
tale of the pardoner is against the sin of greed, and the pardoner uses his tale to illustrate the
point of one of his sermons, also the tale of the pardoner is called the exemplum which also
called the “example”. The tale points out that sin like greed can lead to death. Also in the video
that I have watched is that it also pertains to the story of the “Pardoner’s Tale” but it has a
different point view. In the story the focus is all about greed and from the video the primary
focus is about the relationship between man and the natural world. Man's obligation regarding
her/his physical body is interrelated to her/his duty towards nature. To deal with her/his
wellbeing and prosperity can be practiced without animosity on the regular world.
Paper 2:
On My Blindness

Direction: From the poem ‘On His Blindness’ by John Milton, paste the lyrics of your favourite
song that gives you faith and inspire you to move on whatever struggle you are facing. Then,
create a minimum of 150 words essay/reflection from the song.

“Tomorrow Comes and Goes Before You Know”

It talks about patience because for me once you think about the tomorrow it is making
your mind to think fast and more conscious about it and basically we should not think about
tomorrow because we don’t know about our future. The poem appears as a Petrarchan piece.
Petrarchan poems generally center on affection and sentiment, however Milton subverts this so
as to investigate his association or relationship with God. The reason why I chose that line in the
poem it is because it talks about patience. From what I have understood, Patience is the
capacity to bear troublesome conditions, for example, perseverance in the face of delay;
resilience of incitement without reacting in disturbance/outrage; or patience when under strain,
particularly when looked with longer-term challenges. In the poem, Patience tells to him that
even his inaction is valuable to God on the off chance that he keeps on having confidence.
Patience is needed in our life because without patience, we will learn less in life. We will see
less. We will feel less. We will hear less, ironically, rush and more usually mean less. It is
obvious that in our life today as a normal person is that we have our own struggles in our life
and the only thing that keeps us to move on or to keep moving forward is to focus more on our
strengths not on our weaknesses. Whatever challenges that may encounter in our life, we
should face it because someday that challenge becomes a success and give us another chance
to live our life to the fullest. In conclusion, let us together face our different challenges or
struggles with the use or with the help of patience and strengths in our life. We should never to
be an impatient person because an impatient person never wants to wait for others, or does so
with great reluctance. An impatient person feels angsty or anxiety when things do not go to plan.
Paper 3:
My Youth is Yours

Direction: Create a poem about the quote bellow with 4 lines, 2 stanzas, and has rhyme and
meter.

I wandered there when my veins seemed bursting,

And in my heart was a constant thirsting,

For what man succeeds in ever finding,

I would go back, but the ways are winding.

True freedom heeds a hidden stress,

By which desire to range grows less,

Often I think of the beautiful town,

Often in my thought it goes ups and downs.

Paper 4:
Criticism for a Rose

Direction: Study the structure of the story ‘A Rose for Emily’ and extract the Literary Theories
embedded then explain how it was applied in the story. Click the link bellow to see the literary
criticisms.

A rose for Emily literary criticism can be used to show now death changes an individual.
It can be analyzed by examining the underlying hidden message found within the stories usage
of symbolism. It is able to analyze through anthropology. The author from the story explains the
role of women in the south and how they were seen through the perspective of men. The
statements that have been made in this story suggest those women are inferior and not superior
at that time. Basically, the literary theory that embeds to this story is the feminist criticism
because for me the story was all about the anthropology by examining male superiority in the
story. It also depicts on the symbolism and how should presume the actions of Emily in the
story.
