1 Specifications
1.1 Description
The light tower QLT 4 comes completely assembled, fully tested
and ready to operate. The light mast is shown below in travel mode,
but the steady legs are shown in extended and locked down
position.
De-rating:
The engine must be capable to handle all the lights in a night shift
operation (PRP):
– with an ambient temperature of 40 ºC (104°F) at sea level
– with an ambient temperature of 25 ºC (77°F) at 2500 m (8202.5 ft).

2.2.1 Engine On/Off switch

6. Attach the towing hitch to the moving vehicle. – When installing, be sure to tighten all the bolts by
the specified torque.
– Do not put any tools on the battery. Battery
terminals may short out; this could lead to severe
burns or fire. Detach the battery from the engine
before maintenance.
– Do not touch the muffler or exhaust pipes while they
are hot; this could cause severe burns.

4.2 Battery charging Make sure each electrolyte level is to the bottom of vent-wells, if
necessary, add only distilled water in a well-ventilated place.
Correct battery maintenance will reduce the risk of premature
battery failure.
Incorrect handling of a battery can be extremely dangerous, so the
following precaution must be observed.

1. Do not run the unit if there is less than 1” (2,5 cm) of fuel at the
bottom of the tank.

4. Check to see that two drain cocks are closed; one is in the
radiator bottom tank, and the other on the side of the crankcase.
– If the radiator cap has to be removed, follow the
caution and securely retighten the cap.
– If coolant should leak, consult your local KUBOTA
dealer.
– Make sure that contaminated or salt (sea) water
does not enter the radiator.
– Use clean, fresh water and 50% anti-freeze to fill
the recovery tank.
– Do not refill the recovery tank with coolant over the
“FULL” level mark.
– Be sure to close the radiator cap securely. If the cap
is loose or improperly closed, coolant may leak out
