Here is everything your web team needs to get started.
There
are
two
roles
required
to
create
and
integrate
a
lead
genera*on
form
with
Facebook’s
Social
Graph.
These
may
be
the
same
person,
if
they
have
the
skill
set!
• Designer
–
the
person
responsible
for
making
the
page
visually
appealing,
and
incorpora*ng
the
lead
genera*on
form.
• Developer
–
the
person
familiar
with
JavaScript,
and
in
par*cular
the
jQuery
library.
To
create
a
landing
page:
1. Designer
creates
a
landing
page
with
a
lead
genera*on
form.
2. Developer
creates
an
applica*on
on
Facebook
to
get
a
unique
Facebook
Applica*on
ID.
You
can
learn
more
about
web
development
for
Facebook
at
developers.facebook.com.
3. Developer
sets
the
"CLIENT_ID"
constant
in
the
"integrate.js"
file
to
the
Facebook
Applica*on
ID.
4. Developer
provides
a
unique
ID
aAribute
for
each
of
the
<input>
tags
in
the
form.
5. Developer
assigns
the
input
IDs
to
values
in
the
Facebook
data,
in
the
"_Callback()"
method
in
the
"integrate.js"
file.
Specific
notes
about
how
the
system
works
can
be
found
in
the
integrate.js
file,
readme.txt,
and
demo
index.html
in
the
zip
file
below:
hAp://www.webtrends.com/upload/wt-‐_form.zip
Here
is
the
JavaScript
form
filler
that
allows
Facebook
to
prepopulate
the
web
form:
hAp://www.webtrends.com/upload/FB-‐Form-‐Filler.pdf
The
system
currently
requires
an
e-‐mail
address
to
be
passed
in,
as
part
of
a
link
to
the
landing
page.
The
link
must
be
formaAed
as:
hAp://myserver.com/landingpage.html#email=your@email.com
NOTE:
If
an
e-‐mail
address
is
not
present,
the
page
will
aAempt
to
load
the
end-‐user's
e-‐mail
address
from
Facebook.
However,
this
may
not
always
be
present
or
accurate.
