which the AVEVA software was purchased, the clauses in the software licence shall take precedence.

1 Preface
This chapter provides an introduction to this guide, specifies the intended audience,
provides the summary of chapters and lists the related documents for the guide. The
chapter also provides information about product training and how to contact technical
support.
1.2 Audience
This guide is intended for users who are responsible for installing, upgrading and
uninstalling AVEVA Integration Service (Service). The guide assumes that you have
knowledge of the following:
· Client/server architecture
· AVEVA products that use the Service
· Windows-based installation process

CHAPTER 1 - Preface
After you register a support incident, we will know your identity (from your customer ID)
and the details of the incident. We will endeavour to fix the software issue or consider
the software improvement suggestion as soon as possible, and notify you about the
status of the incident.
If you are an accredited user of the AVEVA products, you are entitled to use AVEVA
Helpdesk for which you should have valid login credentials. For any other queries, contact
the nearest AVEVA Regional Support Centre (http://support.aveva.com/support).

3 Deployment Architectures
The installation of AVEVA Integration Service (Service) varies depending on your
environment and whether your data source and client are Dabacon-based. This chapter
describes the three deployment architectures that can be used for installing the Service
and lists the components of the Service that must be installed in various installation
scenarios.

The components of the Service that must be installed on Computer B are as follows:
· Integration Service
· Notification Service, if you are using AVEVA ERM as the data source.
Note: Integration Client and Notification Client are optional, but useful to verify a
successful connection.

You must follow the two-computer deployment architecture if your data source is a
Dabacon-based product. This is because if your data source is a Dabacon-based product,
the Service must be installed on the same computer as the data source.

The components of the Service that need to be installed on Computer B are as follows:
· Integration Service
· Notification Service, if you are using AVEVA ERM as the data source.
Note: Integration Client and Notification Client are optional, but useful to verify a
successful connection.

Note: For AVEVA Integration Service 1.5, if the data source is located on the same
computer as the Service, creating a service account is not required. Instead, the
Service can run with the Local System account.

· If the Service needs to access network drives to connect to the project data, then
create and use a service account (for example, AIS_Account in the following
screen shot) to run the Service, or set the Service to use the regular user account
used on Computer A. This account must have Administrator rights on Computer
A, and must have Read access to the network drives where the accessed projects
are located.

Note: If you are using a Dabacon product as the data source, then the Service must be
installed on the same computer where the Dabacon product is installed. For more
information, see Two-computer Deployment.

4. On the Custom Setup page, select the components of the Service you want to
install.
Note: By default, only Integration Service is installed. For information about
which components need to be installed, see Three-computer Deployment,
Two-computer Deployment or One-computer Deployment based on your
deployment architecture.
5. (Optional) If you want to change the installation location, click Browse, and
then select the location for installation.
6. Click Next. The installation process begins.
7. After the installation is complete, click Finish to exit the Setup.

3. In the Manage tab, click P&ID Reports Launch from the P&ID Reports group.
4. In the P&ID Reports window, click Preferences and then select Preferences
from the menu that is displayed.

6. In the Actions area, select Service in the list. A dialog box with a message to
confirm your choice appears.
7. Click Yes.
8. For the Select Source list, select AVEVA Engineering, and then click Login.
9. On the Select an AVEVA Engineering project dialog box, select the required
project, provide the credentials, and then click Connect.
10. On the Step 1 of 5: Choose mode of operation page, select Create new
configuration, and then click Next.
11. On the Step 2 of 5: Source Element Type page, type a configuration name, and
then select the values for the Object Type Mapping, Name Attribute and
Unique Attribute lists. The values represent the element types for AVEVA
Engineering. Click Next.
12. On the Step 3 of 5: Destination Element Type page, select the object type for
AVEVA P&ID in the Object Type list, select the Allow Insertion check box, and
then click Next.

13. On the Step 4 of 5: Define Source Filter(s) page, click Add Filter to add a
condition to filter the data received from AVEVA Engineering. Click Next.
14. On the Step 5 of 5: Define Attribute Mapping(s) page, click Add Mapping to
add a mapping to the data.
Note: You can select the Select All Mappings and Use Default Mapping check
boxes based on your need.
15. Click Finish. A message is displayed that the configuration is saved
successfully.
16. Click OK.
17. On the Home tab of the P&ID Reports window, click CompareUpdateLink.
18. On the Compare/Update tab that opens, select the name of the configuration
that you created. The AVEVA Engineering data can now be viewed in AVEVA
P&ID.

3. On the Project tab, click Setup, select AVEVA Integration Service, and then
Import Configuration.

4. On the Service Import Configuration Settings dialog box, select Service for the
list in the Actions area.
5. On the Configure Integration Service Location dialog box, for the Service
Installed On box, enter the computer name on which AVEVA Integration
Service is installed, and then click Save.
6. Click Test Service to verify if the connection to the service has been
established.
7. Click Exit after the Service Ok message is displayed.

9. On the Select an AVEVA Diagrams Project dialog box, select the project,
provide the credentials, and then click Connect.
10. On the Step 1 of 5: Choose mode of operation page, select Create new
configuration, and then click Next.
11. On the Step 2 of 5: Source Element Type page, type a configuration name, and
then select the values for the Group, Object Type Mapping, Name Attribute
and Unique Attribute lists. The values represent the element types for AVEVA
Diagrams. Click Next.
12. On the Step 3 of 5: Destination Element Type page, select the object type for
AVEVA Electrical in the Object Type list, select the Allow Insertion check box,
and then click Next.
13. On the Step 4 of 5: Define Source Filter(s) page, click Add Filter to add a
condition to filter the data received from AVEVA Diagrams. Click Next.

add a mapping to the data.
Note: You can select the Select All Mappings and Use Default Mapping check
boxes based on your need.
15. Click Finish. A message is displayed that the configuration is saved
successfully.
16. Click OK.
17. On the Manage tab of AVEVA Electrical Engineer, click Connect.
18. On the Select An AVEVA Diagrams Project dialog box, select the project, enter
the password and then click Connect.
19. Select the group name from the Groups list, and then click Import Data. The
AVEVA Diagrams data can now be viewed in AVEVA Electrical.

For information on how to configure AVEVA P&ID as the data source for the Service using
Integration Settings Editor, refer to the AVEVA Integration Service Setup Guide.
3. On the Project tab, click Setup, and then click AVEVA Integration Service and
Import Configuration.
4. On the Confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
5. In the Actions area of the Service Import Configuration Settings dialog box,
click the Service list.

6. On the Configure Integration Service Location dialog box, for the Service
Installed On box, enter the name of the computer on which AVEVA
Integration Service is installed.
7. Click Save and then click Test Service to test the connection. If the Service Ok
message is displayed, click Exit.
8. On the Service Import Configuration Settings dialog box, select AVEVA P&ID
for the Select Source list, and then click Login.
9. On the Select an AVEVA P&ID Project dialog box, select the project, enter the
password, and then click Connect.
10. On the Step 1 of 5: Choose mode of operation page, select Create new
configuration, and then click Next.
11. On the Step 2 of 5: Source Element Type page, type a configuration name,
group name, and then select the values for the Object Type Mapping, Name
Attribute and Unique Attribute lists. The values represent the element types
for AVEVA P&ID. Click Next.
12. On the Step 3 of 5: Destination Element Type page, select the object type for
AVEVA Instrumentation in the Object Type list, select the Allow Insertion
check box, and then click Next.
13. On the Step 4 of 5: Define Source Filter(s) page, click Add Filter to add a
