Promoter and venue agreement

This Agreement is legally binding between the parties Jamie Black (The Promoter) (Hereby
referred to as The Promoter) and The Old Hairdressers (The Venue) (Hereby referred to as
The Venue)

The Agreement is as follows:

1. Term
This agreement is for the use of The Venue on the 30th of November 2019.
2. Territory
This agreement shall cover the area of GLASGOW.
3. Promoter Obligations
a. Licensing
 The promoter must check that the venue has the necessary licenses (PRS, PPL
etc) to be able to host the show, The Venue must also be insured to run the
show
b. Promotional Materials
 The Promoter is responsible for providing The Venue with promotional
materials such as posters and flyer, The Promoter is also responsible for
advertising the show via different marketing methods such as social media
c. Costs
 The Promoter is responsible for making sure the venue fees are paid for the
show to go ahead, price and payment can be found in section 8.
d. Equipment
 The promoter will inform the venue on the technical specifications of the
bands as well as informing the venue on if the bands will need any equipment
supplied for them.

4. Venue Obligations
a. Booking
 The Venue must ensure the booking for the venue is recorded and that the
venue will not be double booked on the asked for date.
b. Equipment
 The Venue will provide bar staff for the show as well as a working PA system
on the date of the show.
c. Promotion
 The Venue acknowledges the responsibility to help promote the show
through their social media platforms as well as by putting up posters in their
venue.
5. Load in/soundcheck
Load in and Soundcheck is from 5pm onwards, access to the venue can be found on Renfield
Lane.
6. Door & Curfew
Doors open at 7pm with the curfew at 11pm, The Promoter is responsible for ensuring a
running order with accurate set times is handed to sound engineer.
7. Equipment
The Venue will supply a PA and Sound Engineer which is included in the normal venue cost.
Any equipment left by the bands or promoters must be cleared out of the venue space
before the bar downstairs closes at 1am.
8. Fees
The cost of the Venue is £100. £50 of this is paid no later than two weeks (2) before the gig
with the rest being paid on the night. The payments can be made either by bank transfer or
by cash to the bar downstairs.
9. Cancellation
The Promoter may cancel the show at anytime however, if the show is cancelled after 2
weeks before the date of the show, he will not receive the £50 deposit back. Cancellation of
the show on the date in which the show was scheduled will result in the promoter being
asked to pay the full fee of £100.
10. Termination of Contract
Either party may terminate the agreement as long as they have sufficient evidence for their
reasoning. The termination of the contract will result in the agreement no longer being
binding and will lead to the cancellation of the show. If The Promoter terminates the
contract and has the aforementioned evidence for their decision, they are not held to the
agreement to pay the venue fee.

The Venue and The Promoter both agree to the clauses and responsibilities mentioned
above.
